Even on official ROM it can run Android Apps. Check out at BB website!!
 
no it won't run android apps without jailbreaking , atleast not before they release the update with an android player ,which they won't before feb,12
 
OS 2.0 beta allows for Android apps playback. You have to covert the apk to bar files though..

Both ways , not all apps will run. This won't change ever so just remember that.

On a side note , i managed to get a 16GB model but want a 32. Would someone be willing to trade ? I'll give you extra cash over the amount you spent on the 32GB model !
 
if you don't find someone i would say sell the 16Gb at a little less price and buy the 32 Gb .

Also i was not considering the beta , it's still buggy , tried it

Beta is supposed to be buggy :P but at least RIM is doing some improvement over the currently running BlackBerry Tablet OS 1.x. Hopefully, the "first professional-grade tablet" :facepalm: would incorporate some of the ideas from the wishlist of the existing Playbook users.
 
^^ Having played with the 2.0 update at Blackberry Dev Con , i'd say it is a solid one. The tablet really is great but the relative lack of apps kills it for the casual user. For someone like me who is in the browser for 95% of my usage. It's just fine. QNX is a bloody brilliant OS btw.
 
Lesbuy called up and said there will be a delay in shipping and they will ship it by Tuesday. I was like coming tuesday right :P

EDIT: Order no longer shows up under recent orders on the website ? ..kya kara kamino neih :@
 
Just called up letsbuy.com and they said i will get my PB within 4 to 7 working day and today is 3rd working day.. damn!!! :(

Also asked for details regarding 2100 (for 32GB PB) worth free accessories and they confirmed it's some diary case for PB.. Hoping for a good case and also hoping it to be true ;)

Clarified with their CC, they said it's the diary case, but different quality @1600 and @2100/- (for the 16 and 32 GB variants). Wonder what it is :huh:

Regarding orders, they are as clueless as before, talk about service improving over time :facepalm:
 
My Playbook 16gb arrived. In perfect condition.

Great to hold, nice size.

A 3g option would have been great considering the size.

A.t.m downloading latest version: 1.0.8.6067(356mb).

Most probably. I will check once Charging is over.
Btw, I thought it would charge through USB-Lappy but no.

Interface looks ok. Too much space on sides of screen left empty/useless. This could have been utilized or tab size could have been reduced further.
