Exactly. He's got bugger all to do with this. Making politics at the worst possible time.

The question to be asked is why was this operation successfull.

Is it reasonable to expect that this could have been foiled.

We can't stop every attack but our record here i feel is more dependent on the weakeness of the terrorists than our strentgth to stop them.
 
These blasts have become part and parcel of our life

Just 2 days back I read in newspaper about 5th anniversary of local train blasts and thoght its long time since some attack happened after the taj one.

What do they want to prove ? That your are not safe Beware !!

heh, yeah i had the same thought just yesterday. Been a while since pune.

This is no comparison to 2006, deaths in that one were in the high tens if not three digits.

This one is still in the low tens and isn't likely to go above. This is just a repeat of the same old they can't kill more.

Nobody claimed responsibility yet ?
 
Just reached home a few minutes back. Thank heavens for our company drop, which resumed at 9:30PM. Anyone planning to travel to Mira Road and beyond via Dahisar Check Naka, DON'T. The security check is off the roof (understandably so) and the traffic just keeps on coming. Hope others are safe. :(
 
Just yesterday morning was discussing with friends about increased police checking in and around mumbai, random checks of cars and bikes, noting down number plates, etc. Maybe they knew something was going to happen but couldn't prevent it.
 
its no use of discussing about our govt, wastage of time, they have more impotant works to attend to like - politics, price hike and not to forget their daily duty -CORRUPTION :@

Was talking to a friend that visited mumbai recently and he said the security there was pretty tight.

This one slipped through the cracks. Some more loose ends to be sorted out.
 
What ever you do, it is next to impossible to stop a terrorist. It's one versus many, but then only he knows what he wants to do and in a country our size, it's near to impossible to keep tabs on everyone one and every place. The source will never die either as the US is finding out in Afghanistan. Forget Pakistan, even India has their own home grown terrorists now and we can't even control or eradicate that issue.
 
I am glad that all the TE members are safe. Got in touch with most of them through their cellphones and some of them through FB.

after 26/11 Chidambaram said if there is another attack on Mumbai, we will retaliate. what does he say now?? :( around 93 slums and ghettos nurtured by the govt for votebank politics, around 60000 sleeper cells of terrorist havens around the country it seems, ppl say it's a conservative estimate.

and SIMI's (Indian Mujahideen's old name) counsel is our Law minister now. Mera Bharat Mahan :(

Gujju business areas targeted. Is it some sort of a retaliation to Narendra Modi? As his party money is more less funded by the diamond market in Mumbai..

BTW please stop the Kasab crap, him dead/alive would have made no difference in the attacks.

Just read an update that it wasn't kasab's birthday yesterday someone had edited it to 13th july instead of 13th september and his ip has been traced to chennai
