Blocked card and Refund issue

I recently lost my debit card , so have to get it blocked but I had a refund pending ,which I was to get after few days , Now after getting card blocked would it be possible to get the refund , or no refund now ?

I still maintain the same bank account
 
Yes. refund has nothing to do with it. In the background there's a A/c associated with it.

But for credit card too, AFAIK, if you block your card, then also there's no problem. A soft a/c is maintained. The amount is reflected on whatever card is associated with it.
 
Yes, most banks tag an account with card. So even if you block the card, refund amont will be credited to your account. But not all banks follow this. Better check with Custcare
 
For my HDFC CC, I was told that if I got my card closed, any future refund will be provided to me in form of a DD.
 
OP should consult with bank regarding the issue explain everything to them , the issue will be resolved as every transactions are logged
