Itdepot gives them at the dealer which is very good for us

LOL when I got my powersafe, the truepower was out of reach.... arnd 6K or so I'm gonna dump this powersafe next week. Expect to see it for sale soon
@hardboy... LOL those prices are straight from the distributor of antec psus in India. If they are fake, all antec PSUs available in india are fake

heheh Prices are low now cause we can expect TP2 within 2-3 months. They want to sell/finish out the old stock of TP1 series.
TP2 range will cost about the same maybe 100-300 more at the most.
Get the 550TP it rocks. Smooth and silent as ever. lol my video card makes more noise that PSU

THIS is my experience with Kunhars replacement warranty.... about 3 years back I went with a couple of frieds to buy VIP PSU's from Kunhar - we bought one each - first one of my friends PSU died so we went across and without our even saying a word the guy at the counter took the old PSU and replaced it there and then with a new one - then a couple of weeks later the other guy's PSU died and we went across again and once more the same fantastic service - replacement with no question asked. Now it was my PSU which was dead a couple of weeks later and so I went across to Kunhar and the guy there took the PSU and said come back after 4 weeks - WHAAAT !!! - I said why was I not getting the PSU replaced on the spot like my frieds - the answer was that Kunhar dont have a policy to replace PSU's across the counter and that the unit will have to go to Pune to their factory. It took 6 weeks for the PSU to come back and I have never used it as there is something loose inside and it bounces around when I turn the PSU around.

No offences meant mate but i fail to understand that all three of you ended up with dead PSU's... There could only be two possibilities either VIP PSU's are real crappy or You guys are handeling your PSU's incorrectly... Again i say " No offences Meant "...
The caps in the VIP are / were very poor quality. They go bust pretty fast.
hence i had replaced all the caps on my 400 watts one and some more critical parts like the diodes, input filters etc...obtained from another old compaq psu.
this modded psu works very well. now it would put an antec to shame

No offence taken...... Those early VIP's were bad. What is there to handle incorrectly with a PSU ?
I cannot comment about the other 2 PSU's but I have always used an APC UPS with my systems - done this for many years. I have not had a problem with any PSU before that or with the Starnet and Antec which I have used since then.I forgot to mention those were the 350w PSU's of VIP.

I have used 3 VIP's myself ... this was the only one which was a dud - seeing how all three of those 350w VIP's died they probably had some bad caps or some other components in that lot
I bought another VIP 350 after that one and it is still working fine in another computer - for 3 years.
