CPU/Mobo Budget Vs Gaming

Keep the AGP aperture to 1/2 your Vram.
Thats a very wrong advice for games like HL2-this thumb rule no longer holds good as the data regarding the X800 indicates 32mb to 64mb is the optimum size.
Valve has gone on record to suggest that gamers use a lower value of AGP aperture to alleviate stuttering.

Lower the AGP apature size makes some games slutter. Doom3

Back when I had a fx5600 I used to get 10 fps in doom3 with agp apature set to 32-64.
but at 128 it worked good and used to get around 25-35fps.

Funny with me its the opposite ,and I guess it holds true for ppl with 256mb vram. With 128mb u may need the 128mb agp aperture.
Nice typo though "slutter"

config looks good ..

cpu get 3000+ if you can afford it ..
psu get the powersafe
keyboard - whichever is more easy on your fingers :D

Well 3000+....hmmm.... outa budjet! :( ... but i suppose i can always overclock da 2800+ ??? Wadusay !!?? :)
As for da monitor...which one's better ?? (ie. supports higher res n is brighter ??)

And for da XFX 6600 GT 128 MB.... is da price OK ??? Does anyone know FOR SHURE whether da XFX 6600GT has got a 64bit or 128bit memory bus ???? N how much is da price dif. between da 128MB n 256MB one ??? N y is da ASUS one so much expensive dan de XFX one ???

All 6600GT cards are 128bit, 128MB. There is no 256MB version. The vanilla 6600 which is considerably slower comes in a 256MB version.

ASUS is expensive bcoz its brand name is expensive :P and it uses higher quality components like RAMs that overclock better, better capacitors, etc.....
