Ok,

This is for a friend. He hsa no budget.

Actually he is going to the US after a month.

He wants to buy 3 Gaming PC's.

All identical in config. He has more than Rs.15 Lakhs, yes, 15 Lakhs, which he needs to blow away. *Ahem* money :).

So, he needs me to give him a awesome gaming pc config. To play all the latest games, and upcoming games smoothly. He doesnt care about FPS until its smooth.

Thing is, he can only buy with Hard Cash, no CC. So it all has to be from a Shop/Store like Best Buy or something.

I told him this config.

AMD FX-60 or the 4800+

Asus A8N SLi Deluxe (No DFI, coz hes a n00b.)

2*1GB GSkill DDR-400 RAM or 4*512 OCZ/GSkill DDR600 RAM or 2*1GB DDR-500 GSkill / Mushkin Redline

2*7800GTX 512 / 7900GTX (If its released by then)

2*500GB Hitachi SATA 3Gbps Drives.

2*BenQ dw1640 (On the Fly copy, he wanted that)

Antec TP2 550W

ThermalTake Tai-Chi (Watercooled Case) or the ThermalTake Tsunami.

Any other suggestions?

There's something called Ars Technica God Box. Google it. You wont find anything better :P. On a side note, tell that loser to go jump in a bl00dy well. Its cos of people like him the country is where it is and corruption is rampant. I loathe such people.

^^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT : AMD Opteron 250 (two) is what Ars Technica God Box says. Gay :ohyeah:

Yea well, so anyways, i see Kido's posting a big reply. Anyways... WHadda you say? The budget is like 10000 USD per PC.

Ok here goes: (god i luv this)

- AMD Athlon FX-60 ($1100)

- ThermalTake XP120 w/ Panaflow 120 mm (35 dbA) ($50)

- mushkin extreme performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR-500 ($350)

- DFI NF4 SLI-DR Expert ($220)

- LSI Logic LSI00008 PCI Express SCSI RAID storage adapter ($670)

- 3 x Seagate Cheetah 15K.4 ST3146854LW 147GB 15,000 RPM U320 68pin (RAID-5) ($3500)

- 3 x Fujitsu MAT3300NP 300GB 10,000 RPM SCSI Ultra320 68pin Hard Drive (RAID-5) ($2190)

- Seagate Momentus 7200.1 ST910021A 100GB 7200 RPM Ultra ATA/100 in suitable USB 2.0 enclosure. ($350)

- PCP&C 1100 W SMPS (PSU) ($450)

- 7900GTX x 2 (wait for it) ($1400)

- Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite ($385)

- Antec P180 (no other) or CM Stacker (4tw!)

- Razer Copperhead Chaos Green ($80)

- Razer Mantis Speed ($25)

- Sennheiser HD-650 ($450)

- Sennheiser standalone noise-cancelling mic ($40)

- SAMSUNG 244t-Black 24" 6ms (G to G) LCD Monitor ($1359)

Hmm, this shud satisfy the biggest of e-d!**s anyone can hv. :D

A person does not hv a be pro to use a DFI board. He has to be pro to use the overclocking features. Just go for the best board. He is gonna need it with all that serious hardware in there. + The 7900GTX will get some air to breath with the added gap between the PCI-X ports.

Cost = $12800 + Tax (ofcourse)

Exactly my point. Plugin in the Adapter card, then one cable to connect all the drives. Let the system boot (rem only 1 DIMM at first :P, yellow) and fire up the SCSI Bios and set the RAIDs up. And voila. U r done. Remember to press F6 during install to put in the LSI adapter floopy drive. And u r done. :D

Hey, won't he have to pay customs on that stuff? Or is his "Ahem" Money from that department.

God damn over rich criminals.

What abt his speakers??

And for 15laksh, I would rather buy a Skoda RS(and if I can spend 15 lakhs, I may as well spend another 3 and mod that to get 250+bhp and 0-100 in 6 secs).

oh yeah...... and why you stuck on nvidia?? Dont allow your prejudices to come in the way of this.

ATIs IQ will be better. and in Crossfire or SLI, there is almos tno difference in FPS. You will not even know one is slower than the other if not for Fraps. You may as well get the best IQ

I generally refrain from replying in threads which says "Unlimited Budget" etc....since these threads are never Genuine or Serious;) and just an exercise in futility ....:bleh:
BTW for around $2000 US a very good gaming rig can be assembled using off the shelf components.:cool2: :hap2:
