Hello all!
My parents are moving house soon, and I'm using that as a chance to upgrade their machines. They both basically write for a living, so the most important upgrades will be in their chair, desk, and keyboards, but I also want to change the computers they're using (their usecase means hardware lasts 10 years without feeling sluggish outside of failures).
Since space will be at a premium in their new house, I was thinking of getting them to use their laptops as workstations that plug into a USB hub or something similar to get all the peripherals connected with one cable. However, there are separate issues with their laptops that I can't currently get involved in, so it seems MiniPCs are the next best options. I wanted to get something barebones that I could put RAM and storage into, that also had a company warranty of about 3 years since I'll be away during that time and I don't want them to have to deal with issues.
I know that Asus, Dell, and Lenovo each have MiniPC offerings that I'd be interested in but I can't find them available in any shops or their websites. I'm assuming I'm missing something obvious here. Any help on figuring out how to get them? Would be looking to pay extra for extended warranties where relevant to ensure least hassle.
Thanks in advance!
