My cabinet is a CM 335 one. As you well know, it comes with a rear exhaust 120mm fan, but not a front one. I was looking at the market threads for fans and had a few questions -

(1). The CM fan is 50 CFM, from what i saw on some forum. Can this be paired with any 120 mm front fan?. Will the rpm/cfm difference impact the internal temperatures?

(2). I use headphones while gaming, but also download at night often. I am..welll... a fussy sleeper, so cant stand too much noice :bleh: Which would you guys recommend, a 60CFM,1500RPM,20DBA Xigmatek or a 110CFM, 1900 RPM,37DBA Scythe Slip Stream? How noicy is 37DBA lol?

(3). Can the front fan be switched off from windows, or can it be done only manually.

Thanks for the replies.

Cheers

You have a pretty similar requirement as i had once.

So here are the facts:

1. 37dBA is damn noisy for a silent night. Im unable to tolerate anything above 24dbA :P

2. For good cooling while gaming, always try to maintain high air pressure inside the cabinet. i.e. Intake air flow > Outgoing air

Since CM 335 doesnt have much fan options, so just put an Antec Tricool (w/ speed control) in front: 40CFM 22dBA -> 79CFM 35dBA. Let the rear fan be standard one only: 45CFM 21dBA.

3. Fans cant be controlled via windows, must use a fan speed controller (which is inbuilt in Antec tri-cool btw).

Use this.....CM 90cfm fan for 450Rs.

Its max speed is 90 but it provides lot more air than Xiggy XLF series + i think its 75 CFM.
Prety quiet fan also
