I m playing the game on my Crappy Lappy..With a C2D P8600 2.4Ghz and a Ati 3650 256mb..I get fps around 45-60 most of the time but there are massive frame drops for every 2mins or so..But still very much Playable!

Campaign is ****in incredible, the way the story is narrated jus blows my mind! And it has a lot of epic moments than any other game had..Gameplay still feels good! A lot of servers are availablea good amount of server suit the indian crowd..Registry decent..But some players jus warp around in servers :p

The Multiplayer Couterpart performs a lil better..Where the fps hovers arnd 50-75 but still I get the massive frame drops here n there..Mp is uber kewl Better than Mw2..

My ranking of cod series

Campaign: BO>=MW>MW2

MULTIPLA: MW>BO>MW2
So that implies you have played the multiplayer?

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

SP is awesome......... OST rocks...... Lot of Explosions and very fast paced... even faster than MW2....... Story is awesome......

MP..... played just 2 maps.... wanted to just check the multiplayer server pings....... Getting pings around 180ms and plus........ so playable.......

Overall i love the game......

So I applied the update and guess what, still no improvement on the stuttering. At this point, I'm not sure why I'm even testing the PC version.
Same problem here and still no solution :(

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

Just updated.. The shuttering problem is almost gone, but not completely.. But the game is more or less playable now from completely unplayable before the patch..

One strange thing i've noticed is that the game doesn't seem to utilize my GPU completely.. Its just using a maximum of 264MB of my XFX GTS 512MB GDDR3..

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

The game gives the same fps with the power cord on same as it gives with the battery on(lappy)..stupid game doesnt use my shitty mobility 3650 at all..It loads the processor..

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

for me,
Pre Patch:
GPU temp @ 86 deg Celsius
CPU temp @ 87 deg Celsius

Post Patch:
GPU @ 70
CPU @ 74
:D

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

& hey, stop posting those SPOILER screenshots :\

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

i updated my Nvidia drivers for my 8800 GT to 260.99 and i can say its playable now, but a little stuttering still remains. did not apply any patch yet.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

finished the SP campaign the game was MUCH more awesome then MW2 it had lost of breaking the glass guns blazing scenes and the story was much more coherent than MW2 the Game has some BEAUTIFUL animations and Lightning effects and DOF and draw distance

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

10 hour remains! :p

Offtopic:-

Started playing CoD:MW2. I know I am late but, better late than never. :p

Anways, played the first 2 missions. The gameplay/action is just insane. The weapon range is pretty huge. Soundtracks are just brilliant. Graphics are stunning as usual. Boy o' boy the ride on snow mobile was just superbbb! Dil garden-garden ho gaya. :p

As the single player campaign is short, I hope I'll be able to complete it before I get hold of CoD:Black Ops.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

MW2 SP will take max 4.5 hours in hardened IMO, and 4 hours in normal, It's like a war movie you go through.

Same with black ops, but here SP is bit longer then MW2, took me 5.5 hours to finish in normal

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

If someone wanted to, they could complete MW1, MW2 and Black ops in a day (including sleep :p)

Soundtrack courtesy; Hans "the music god" Zimmer. The game feels like a complete Michael Bay style summer flick, minus Megan Fox. Wait till you play the latter levels, you'll witness awesome-ness at it's best.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

So after the patch will I be able to play it Full HD on a HD 4850? Or is the game too good for that...?

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

Completed the SP yesterday night, wasn't that much longer than MW2. Took about 5hrs in normal.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

Haha!! Soundtracks are just mind-blowing. Sets the tune of the game.. Every byte of 11GB is worth it.
Just loving Hans Zimmer work. :) Music God indeed.
