Sorry to have an old thread bumped but I just started the game a while back. Completed the first 3 acts on a single sitting and boy this game is kick ass! :D

The wild west theme is awesome and so is the gameplay with the ability to swap players in different acts, the arsenal, the cannon, the environs etc.

Thanks a ton Ethan! I owe you one for this. Feel like shooting myself for having skipped this title. :@

The storyline was amazing and so was the presentation. This game and Call of Juarez has one of the best voice acting in any Western game ever released. I'd suggest picking up the first part as well. The first game looks gorgeous and with DX10 implementation, the visual quality feels so much better. You'll see a whole new side of Ray in that game.

Though which is better.....yea I know it is subjective. The first or 2nd installment. Since you play all the games...!

If I had to pick one, then it's Bound in Blood. The end is simply fantastic and more on the emotional side. I could say the same for the first game as well, but the character bonding isn't as strong as it is in Bound in Blood. Plus the stealthy missions of Billy in the first game was a big put off for me. Apart from that, both games are solid in every way. If you play Bound in Blood first and then CoJ, it would be a perfect experience for you.

I understand that BIB was a prequel but should we play like that? I hope it doesn't ruin the experience. :ashamed:

More like watching the Star Wars saga from I to VI not in the order they were released. :P

It is a Prequel which focusses on the McCall brothers. The first game starts off with a different character altogether, Billy. If you play CoJ first and then BiB, you won't have any clue as to what was Juarez's history and some other aspects which I don't want to spoil for now. Back when I played the first game, I thought that was it and assumed it was a really good title. But after playing the prequel, both the first game made a lot more sense. No harm in playing the CoJ first and then BiB. Either way, the plot will unfold as it should.

Completed some chapters and right now, the McCall brothers have met the leader of some Apache tribe who's known as Running River. He wants the McCall brothers to get him some rifles in exchange of some medallion. The gameplay is becoming awesome as it progresses. Esp. those showdowns which are way better than those boss battles wherein you need to completely bring down the health bar of the boss. The music is inspired by the wild west. Then there is regenerating health. And those witty one-liners between the 2 brothers with William - the younger of the brothers who's a priest trying to calm them down each time they enter a heated debate.

I think I am set for the weekend. Will be starting Stalker - COP after this one. :D

Personally, I could not tolerate the first game..... Second game is awesome......

The first game requires a bit of patience initially, but after that it really picks up. I remember giving up on the game when I couldn't even get past the initial level where you had to sneak past the old man's house. But then I seriously concentrated and completed the game.

BiB was one hell of a Wild West experience after "The Gun". The thing i loved most about BiB is the one'o'one duels. They are just FTW!

This game, in my opinion has the best story and its emotional too with plenty of epic moments.Gameplay never gets boring even though its pretty much the same throughout and you got to love the concentaion mode + loads and loads of humour.
One of my all time favorites no doubt.

Just completed it! What an awesome ending to an awesome wild-west inspired title! I read that Billy, the protagonist in the Call of Juarez, is what Marisa is carrying ATM. And his biological father is Juarez and Thomas would become his step-father. I think I should pick it up now - should be an interesting one having played this one. :)

But I never expected, Ray would shoot his own brother and that too when William was about to take his Bible and not the pistol. Anyways, Ray has got himself converted to a priest, Thomas marries Marisa and that ends well. :P

2 brothers fighting for gold and a whore LOL!

Next up - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat. Been waiting for this title for long. :ohyeah:
