PC Peripherals Can I carry a power supply from the US?

Can you carry a power supply from USA to INDIA in an aeroplane? Are there any security restrictions?
I am planning to get one with my friend coming, EVGA 80 Plus Gold. 850w with 10 years warranty. EVGA also gives global warranty.

Unbox, carry without box (even better). It shouldn't look like a sealed box. Gives them reason to ask more questions.

If my friend carries it open box and tempres the box to some extent then is there any restriction on the net worth of goods he may carry duty free?
