I wanna know if this worked for me on VMware .. will it work on the same PC as well.. i wanna install it as my primary OS.

I've got AMD 9850 BE with ASUS M3A78-EM + 2GB RAM...

I've got one problem with VMware.. i don't have drivers installed.. i can't install the VMware Tools. any idea on this.

I don't understand your question. You want to know if this will work with VMware? And later, install it as your primary OS, yes?

If so, installing OSX on VMware is known to me a massive 'PitA' and is not recommended. Check InsanelyMac for more on this.

okay as soon i booted kalaway (MAC) dvd on my samsung sata dvd drive.

after some messages it says

"waiting for root device"

so actually i need some help out here..

on sata 0 is my 640 gb drive

on sata 1 it shows dvd drive

and i think on other 2 ports its my 250*2 RAID - 0 config... nforce

so will my raid config be available when I later have OSX installed ? Will it be detected for just going through my files ?

I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow; backing up all my data right now.

Going to try it on my notebook; hopefully it won't mess it up.

SOS

Alright, installed OSX on my rig using the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD and tried the default kernel, and vanilla and speedstep.

Most of the stuff works, and I can "use" OSX, but no WLAN (Atheros Device 002a) or LAN (Marvell Device 4355)

Using Mandriva Live right now ...

Keane thats the problem with it..Somethings work some dont..Its a pain to keep searching for drivers all the time..

My sound, wlan, lan and few other things dont work..

Looking for drivers for ages now..Makes more sense to first check the compatible hardware then buy your rig if you are such a big mac fan..

Or probably buy a mac.

Bah. Back to Vista or Mandriva then. My eyes lit up when it booted the first time. :(

Basically, I've realized why OSX is doing so well. It's like the only available combination of Windows and the commercial Linux distros, in terms of support and use.

Should I give Kalyway 10.5.3 a shot before reverting?

Actually, I'm going to build an OSX PC when I get back home this December; My cousin's an Apple fangirl. Is insanelymac the best place to figure out suitable hardware for the build?

If you really want something, as close as possible to a real Mac, look no further than this:

.::Efi-X::.

This is the only way you can install a retail OS X DVD on your PC and even get software updates without patching or anything just like a real Mac.

I downloaded kalyway and iDeneb yesterday, only to find out that my Sb700 is not properly supported, neither is the hd3200 :( Sucks.

I saw this link before, this page talk about a USB device which we should buy.

isn't EFI supposed to be Extensible Firmware Interface?

Anyone got osx working on a 780g? After a day of reading I think I'll only be wasting time and dvds if I try installing :P
