Cant install WinXP on hp5200tx

Hi all..
I have a laptop hp5200tx..i cant install win xp on it! I installed Vista just fine..cant install Xp..it cant find the hdd when i boot from the cdrom.so the installation quits...ne clueS? Itried xp pro and xp mce..no luck..ne ideas...?

if your lappy has a non native sata interface u might have to prss f6 during installation, then provide the floppy with the sata drivers on it

got it..
disable sata ,install os and then install 3 drivers..
Steps to disable SATA from BIOS:

1. Restart the notebook.
2. Tap the F10 key as soon as the HP logo appears.
3. Using the arrow keys, navigate to System Configuration Menu,
select "SATA Native Support" and choose Disable.
4. Go to Exit Menu and choose "Exit Saving

and then install three drivers..bla bla..having online tech chat.hehehe.
