Saw the movie last night. I'm short of words to describe how awesome it is. Its probably the best movie I've seen in the last 5 years. The nicest part of the movie is the fact that it never takes the audience for granted, makes them think and makes them figure things out for themselves. Yes its not easy to figure out whats going on for a while but once things straighten out a bit, its the best roller coaster ride of a movie ever. Probably the best sci-fi flick ever!

What a movie!!

2.5 hours but you never realize that it's so long :)
The best part was when the explanation to the opening sequence strikes home. Simply brilliant!

I dont get why PT Anderson, Woody allen, Coen Brothers, James Cameron get so much critical acclaim. Their movies are just average, most of the times they make sh*tty movies. These are the most overrated directors.

I'm not sure about the rest, but Cameron creates ground breaking cinema, technically I mean. His track record speaks for itself. Plots may have not have been a stronghold in movies like Titanic, AVATAR and True Lies, but you can't ignore Terminator & Terminator II. He is a director who envisions a movie which is ahead of it's time. Things which we thought couldn't be possible is made reality by this man. Plus his eye for detail in all of his movies is very much evident.

Nolan is an extremely talented director as well. The complexity of his movie plots and the way they are presented is amazing. He revived a franchise which everyone thought had gone to dogs; Batman. I just wish he maintains consistency with his projects like he has done in the past.

Yea but Avatar was the most overrated movie of the decade.
Its kinda the Crysis of celluloid. Crappy story but tech wise its pure genius.

Actually, if you think about it, Avatar was praised only because of the world that Cameron created. And everybody was left spellbound. Even his worst critics. He didn't get any Oscars for the story, neither did anyone feel that he should have. It was made with one purpose... to dazzle everyone. And that it did very well.

My point exactly. Story and acting were all cheese-fest and not thought provoking. The visual effects and it's 3D integration were jaw-dropping. Imagine having to create a whole new world and it's inhabitants purely with technology is something worth mentioning. Plus it's a movie which has now set a benchmark for all 3D movies out there, not to mention, stirring back the 3D craze again.

Yes i realised that but question still stands.

Hey guys. Read the previous posts.

I saw Inception yesterday at Hyderabad(Tarakrama) and frankly was not satisfied, especially the action sequences.

The fights are there, gravity defying or whatever, ek dream se doosraa dream se theesre pe and the the sequence until the'kick'(read van hitting the water). The plot is all good but feel for such a good attempt did need much more groundbreaking action sequences.

Nolan's all previous movies were superb, accepted but this falls short of expectations. What shown in the trailers are only those that are there in the movie.

Acting, story complexity, cast, dream architecture (this could have been much better:P(who am I?)).

He really needs his brother to do much better imagination. If you seen all the trailers, which by the way are morte or less same, download karke dekhna beteer guys. not worth theatre material.

Just my take. What say!

Disagree my friend. The dramatic music and the action scenes warrant a theatre watch. Infact, I think you'll lose out on at least half of the feeling of the movie if you dont watch it in theater :)

I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone to watch in theaters :)

Not watching it in 3d is a crime.

On topic : I concur, as of right now Nolan is in a league of his own. I've followed up on Night Shyamalan for a while and thought he'd match Nolan, but was disappointed.
