man does not sound too good for the XFX, but i think it can give comparable performance after overclocking manually.

yea i luved xfx 1st but i guess now its time to change :(
also xfx cooling systems are gettin crppy des days !!! :(

^^^actually its completely the reference model that XFX is selling with alpha dog tag hence the pos cooling as well. Though it can easily match and outdo the Zotac specs that have been mentioned in the review with stock cooling.

n wat r ur xfx specs  n also shld i stick wid xfx again ??

zotac performance is off the charts.............but 2 b honest i m hearing the brand Zotac for the first time:what?: ..................but i wud really think twice and do a lot of head banging :S research on the card if at all i think abt buying it...........

anyways its a good review bro..............

Though i have heard it quite a few times but it never has lead the charts but the reason is that they are comparing Zotac overclocked version with stock reference cards(maybe the reason is that all the cards are priced almost similarly).

My overclocked specs are 700 core/2000 memory/1750 shader. All this with stock cooling and fan @ 70%. Though I have removed overclocking coz theres no need as of now. I am able to play crysis @ 1440x900 Very High on Vista 64 with 4x AA with butter smooth gameplay(so i am assuming its in the range of 25-30fps). And since i dont need bragging right but smooth gameplay hence no overclock at present.

^^ Ditto .. donno how to rate the quality of the card , but even if its low , this xfx card does oc well .. tested at 700/1750/1900 ... wanted to go more , but thought of waiting a bit more :P .. for now , 650/1650/1900 seems fine .. everything including Crysis runs smooth .. Fan set to 75% , temps are well under 70c ... what else can i say ...

hmm

but my zotac is quite a respected small barand

who is comming up with industries highest clocked card all from value to enthucist calss for a couple fo years as i have followd

there is no doubt that xfx is gd brand , but cooling on my 8600 gt su*** also xfx doesnt come that factory OC so me a bit confused

ZOTAC 8800GT are not on sale yet..they are nowhere to be found..

even their website does not have "where to buy" link..its really funny and pretty pathetic really..

I had the XFX 8600GT as well, and it was an amazing overclocker, infact one of the best, though i dont remember the clocks i was running on but if you do have the time look out in the graphics section and you will find the amazingly high overclock that i was able to get.

Also I dont like to pay for factory OC cards when I know i can clock my stock card to the same level(since most of the OC cards do not have better chips or fans etc.)

zotac might have people in 2nd thoughts.........but as i said before.................i wud do a lot a thinking before i go for it...............in other words................i will say zotac is not realiable (yet :hap5: )...............but soon who knows it will meet its match with biggies like the XFX soon....................
