Zotac's website looks good too..
Anyone checked it out yet ???
yeah.............ched it out..............it does look quite interesting:P .................. and by the looks of it i have got a feeling that this company is new to the market ( but i cud b wrong)..................

you are quite right about zotac being a new company, maybe just about 6 months old but they are a subsidiary of Sapphire(though not exactly)

once Zotac stabilizes as a chip set company for Mobos and GPUs and if their cards keep up their performance this way, i guess it cud very well have XFX a run for its money..............and Zotac will become a brand name in itself....................

really good discovery yaar..............:hap2:  keep up the good work................

Its funny to see some reviews. This is one of them. No doubt it has many cards. but there is clear bias.

Sure Zotak comes factory oced. Its most oced out of the lot. It will perform the best. No doubt about it.

In the review, reviewer praises Zotak for including HIGHER QUALITY MEMORY CHIPS.

Now thats clear bias, personal or professional bias ( cough cough........).

Zotak carries Qimonda 1.0ns GDDR3 Ram.

But so do all others. Every single card in the review carries Qimonda 1.0ns. And nowhere did the reviewer mentioned that.

This does not mean other cards are inferior to be honest.

As far as the Zotak goes, its a company to watch for. They are coming out with non reference 8800GT soon with 3 phase power supply circuit and better HSF. They seems to be doing something different. But its a new company yet to prove its worth.

got a point there..............:ashamed: but i confess it cud be possible for the card to emerge victorious in the years to come:)....because in the end the user is concerned with the performance of the card and it is only going to be after many reviews of the GPU that can make it acceptable in the market................anyways to each his own

So i guess all the guys here who tuk the advantage of my MSI GO will be kinda pleased with me and themselves heh ??? :D

well i guess the next best after zotac is MSI after looking at the graphs...........so MSI is not a bad choice after all..............:ohyeah:

be fair in war...............................

Zotac 8800GT 512MB AMP! Edition

Core Clock - 700MHz
Memory Clock - 1000MHz
Shader Clock - 1700MHz
Fillrate - 11.2 GPixel/s
Bandwidth - 64.0 GB/s

MSI NX8800GT T2D512E - 512MB

Core Clock - 660MHz
Memory Clock - 950MHz
Shader Clock - 1650MHz
Fillrate - 10.6 GPixel/s
Bandwidth - 60.8 GB/s

XFX 8800GT 512 Alpha Dog Edition & Asus EN8800 GT 512MB

Core Clock - 600MHz
Memory Clock - 900MHz
Shader Clock - 1500MHz
Fillrate - 9.6 GPixel/s
Bandwidth - 57.6 GB/s

its obvious that in the benchmark Zotac is always in the top then its come MSI and u can look in all the benchies XFX & Asus scores almost same. but if some1 can oc
xfx or asus upto that speed then its good to see these benchies again for the actual results... even i think XFX already release its xxx edition which has the
following specs Core Clock - 670MHz, Memory Clock - 975MHz & Shader Clock - 1650MHz so it will be a fair war if the review wud point out with this edition...
even vit a slight oc'ing it will definitely reaches as zotac specs and at that point i think xfx will never be such defeated by zotac...

also in price context i dont know how much the AMP! edition of Zotac but xfx 8800gt xxx edition(oc'ed) will costs between 16-18K &
Standard xfx 8800gt 512 will cost not more that 15K (price varries at location) and
the availability, service centres, after sale services of zotac also can be a issue for such a new company to cope up with
well know nvidia partner like xfx/asus. i keep out asus and msi for their relatively higher
price tag as far as xfx...

zotac is already a big brand in europe

and it not that new company

and like galaxy it's not that well distributed in us
but differenciates it by going highest clock or different design

^^^^I doubt your claim of it being a big brand, its hardly a year old company which certainly has deeper roots since its a subsidiary of PC Parner Ltd. which used to work for Sapphire for ATI cards and now has changed gear to make Nvidia cards as well. But as an individual company its still a new one and cannot be such a big name.

No more Geforce 8800GT shootouts around the web ??

Are reputed reviewers waiting for 9800GTX to come out before comparisons ??

But, next week, a new batch of GeForce 8800GT cards is set to appear, and this time around, Zotac is bringing out those modifications company is known for.

Just like the rest of GeForce 8 line-up, the 8800GT is going to get DVI Audio. Engineers modified the PCB in order to get the S/PDIF output somehow, and 5.1 channel sound is going to be put through the DVI port to a DVI-HDMI adapter.

XFX rox anytime...........like i said bfor more reliable than zotac or MSI........regarding XFX 9800GTX,i can't wait for it.................rumours abt it r already out on the net....................and this one is going to (has to) have a 1GB RAM ....................

^^

XFX as a brand has a lot of reliability issues as exemplified by the 650i ultra fiasco.

MSI is a much more 'stable' brand which is very famous for its high quality products and components.

not to mention i jus saw something else..

slick dude.......slick really slick ................its a superb card better than xfx 8800gt for max performance.............. i guess u must have taken itt after reading Kenpachi's thread on 8800gt performance comparison of different brands ................cool dude...................really cool....................how much did u buy it for????????????? and where did u buy it from???????????????????

contradicting ourselves.. arent we?
