CPU/Mobo Config for a friend

Dude if going for P35 then graphics card is a must because it doesn't have onboard video.

Since u already mentioned NO OVERCLOCKING then go for Biostar GF7050. And later buy 9600GSO when it is available.

Trust me! If gaming, 9600GSO won't let 8600GT stand.

intel 7200 5.8 K
Biostar GF7050 - 2.2 k
Coolermaster 460w for 1.9k
Zebronics Bijli - 1.2 K
8600 Gt - 4.5 K

Pls give ur opinions on this. have to buy this on wednesday.

Nice one....I dont think anything needs to be changed

Also the ram should be 2*1gb and not one stick of 2gb

no need to overclock that cpu...its good enuf...go for the 9600gso with any motherboard...all boards will be stable on stock settings

and since you say its an upgrade....and he is using his current hard drive (which i assume is IDE) then dont go for the p35
p35 ide performance is pathetic...i have it so i know...switched my ide hard drive with a friend's sata :p
