Confused between lenses of Lenskart

If I am not mistaken, these lenses have a marking that is visible at a particular angle. Will help you check on the authenticity.
Correct. And generally fake sellers cannot mimic such marking as ir requires some specialized tools and its costs a lot.
All of these gimmicks should be researched. This year I purchased photochromatic lenses for around 12K. Zeiss photofusion. They would turn dark blue in UV or sunlight. Then become normal inside the house. Upon usage I realized they only work properly if around below 35c temperature. Felt so foolish. No where is this mentioned. So now in the winters I get blue tint. Peak summers the glasses remain white. Spectacle industry is a huge rip off. Lenses and frames and coatings.
May be thats how a photochromatic lense behaviors but till date have used all premium lenses from lenskart, vison exp, titan and few more along with local brands and each of them only turns a bit pale yellowish due to sun thats it! ANd its a normal phenomenon for any lense.

I guess I was sold fake ones then.
There should be laser etching on each lens showing the Zeiss logo as a mark of authenticity.

Ok guys, so has been a while since I got my specs from lenskart. Got two specs from them as it was 1+1 offer. I have got these glasses:

I have these power:

Now the problem is that, even after 5-6 weeks, I am not able to adapt to these specs. When I am viewing mobile, they are very good as the mobile is much near to my eye and I can clearly see it. But when it comes to the laptop, I am really not able to find the right spot.
Headache are now regular since without specs, I am not able to see clearly and also with specs, I am not able to find the right spot.

I also went to another spec shop and they told me that specs are fine and I need to create habit to wear!

I am really not sure what to do:
1. Should I get new specs?
2. Any other option?

Eyes adapt to the new specs usually within a day or two but for some people it might take a few days of time or max 2 weeks.
Also, ensure that the spec body you choose suits your face shape as I have seen just for the trend and fashion people buy something which doesn't suit their faces which directly affects your vision as the lens should be directly in sync with your eyes. No wonder why you see people keep adjusting their spectacles every now and then its due to the spec slipping from the temples, forehead or nose.

Lenskart is good at assistance they will offer you other spectacles esp. suiting your face type and also freely replace the lenses if required.

5-6weeks is too much of a time you should have ran to them just under 2 weeks.

Most importantly, are facing similar issues both spectacles or just one? If both then you need to recheck for the eye power again. Dont delay as it might increase the power of your eyes causing more issues than good.

So I did went to Lenskart and they adjusted the frame for me but it didnt helped much. I went couple of times.
For one of the specs, which was not proper, they replaced the lens as well.

But still I am not able to adapt.

See, for far sight and hear sight, there is no problem. The only issue is intermediate distance, like for example laptop which is around half feet away. That is where I am struggling.

So much this. I had issues with my power changing frequently when I used to wear specs with small rectangular lenses, half the time I would be seeing above or below the lens area which voided the purpose of wearing specs. Then I changed to Aviator style lens which provided adequate coverage and the power has been stable for last ~3years. You shouldn't be peering above or below the reading/viewing areas of your specs lens.

Yes. Exactly my problem with Lenskart progressives. I have to use lap top without glasses. I can look at mobile with or even without the lens and can even play cricket with them but using the lap top is extremely problematic as you have to shift your head up and down .

I have had gone same way, it is limitation of progressive glasses ACCEPT IT and move on, I accept this after visiting 3 Eye Specialist Doctors. They suggest me various things but noting works and than I talk with my Glass Maker (Optician Shop) and he suggest me to make 2 different pairs for [Reading + Long Distance] and another for [Reading + PC]

I kept Progressive that he made (didn't go for 2 different specs) and now using same while reading (near/news paper/mobile etc) and for PC I didn't use any specs.

If at all you are not OK with Progressive (Headache) and still facing issue to read from PC/Laptop than I will suggest you to go with Bi-Focal Specs as ONLY & ONLY bi-focal have LARGE READING area and it will solve your headache issue.

There is not much difference (reading space) between extra wide corridor, medium corridor and regulars corridor in Progressive Glasses, so save money and go with cheap Bi-focal.

In Bi-focal there are 2 type of glasses one latest Plastic Material (Light Weight but delicate to scratch) and second one is age old Glass Material. Glass Material is fragile in nature but more scratch resistance and more CLEAR view than plastic material glasses.

HTH

So I went to another shop, which is very reputed in my area with a thought to ask if I need another specs. However, he also told me the same thing that there is no poblem with the specs and you need to adapt to it and there is no other way!
He also told me that this is the first time I am wearing any specs, so it might take more time to you.
The only thing is mentioned that the reading area is a bit lower in my specs (I remember telling to Lenskart that my most of the work is on laptop). I am not sure if that is something which will make any difference!

I am giving myself 2 weeks time to get adapt to it, where I will wear it for most of the times (earlier I was not that regular). If still the issue persist, will try to get Bifocal one.
Thanks for your time and thoughts !!!

if so then try to keep your chin BIT UP and see if it solve the issue. Just marketing gimmicks as in progressive glasses READING SPACE are really really short/small compare to bifocals. In Bifocals you can get 2-3 time more reading area compare to progressive, just need to ask them to keep reading area as big/wide as possible.

While using progressive for reading, you need to move your head along with eyes, as reading area is small/short. Also make sure to seat on center of page/screen to read, if you miss the center angel it will be hard to read.

I do chin up but not very helpful.
I am getting a bi-focal to see if that suits me.

Ask them to provide you wide and more reading area as you have zero number for distance, it may look little weird for first few days only, but as you keep wearing it soon people stops noticing any extra area in glasses.

Ask them to draw on papers how much NEAR READING area they will keep in your glasses, I found that as soon as you leave shop (place order) they will forget your instructions and do the STANDARD SIZE cutting, so be Strict about Near Reading Area (ask them to draw you frame shape exactly on back of invoice and mark how much area will took by Reading Space in that Frame)

You are referring to progressive lens or for bifocal lens ?

For progressive lens, the frame height should be at least 37-38mm. Also PD measurement and lens centring as per frame shall be done properly else you'll always face problems.

Get you specs made from a good optician and opt for good quality branded lens.

Both right and left Axis is 0? If it is taking such a long time to adapt to the new glasses probably there might be a mistake in the astigmatism correction. Maybe you should get your eyes checked up again in a reputed eye clinic and check the power again. Avoid bifocal if you are going to wear the glasses continuously. They do not look good and sometime they do not match your facial anatomy.

Got it, taking this bifocal just for experiment and see if that suits.
Also will be going to an eye clinic this weekend.

On a separate note, what if, if I just use the specs when I am using mobile, as thats the only time I feel that I am not able to see things clearly !
Otherwise for laptop, I am able to view.

Yes, that is how I use my specs but just the other way around. I use it only when looking at monitor/laptop/mobile. As for you, the power is very minimal and actually a reading glass with +1.00 power should be more than sufficient when you are using mobile and even for laptop.
