i5 750 - 10k
giga ud3 - 11k
gskill ram - 7.5k
this itself is coming to 28.5K and not considering vat and shipping. Including that will bring it close to 30K. Damn.
hey Udit,
can u please explain this article in this page....
Choosing DDR3 SDRAM for LGA1156 Platform
![]()
Basically, it says that Core i5 will not support DDR3-1600 SDRAM...
P.S. I dont know much about RAMs, and please dont flame me if what the article claims turns out to be just BS.
Udit said:it'll need cpu at 160x20 (3.2GHz) & ram at 160x10 for 1.6GHz RAM to run at rated speeds or you can run 160x17 cpu with 160x10 ram
yup.is core i5 available in india?
pretttt said:Thanks for the reply
but, honestly didnt really get what u were trying to say :ashamed:
u mean to say I need to OC i5 750 to 3.2GHz to use it with 1600MHz RAM??
also, when u say 160x20: 160 refers to BCLK and x20 is multiplier .. right?
Anyways, what will happen if I dont OC the cpu?
will the RAM run at reduced speed of 1333MHz? or will the CPU not run at all?
haraakiri said:when you select XMP with 1600 ram, most mobos reduce cpu multiplier and increase bclk so that cpu speed runs almost at stock. Atleast gigabyte mobos do that. Anyway core i5 750 overclocks to 3.2ghz on stock volts easily , so no issues, I believe.
I'm sorry but i disagree completely1333 CL9 = 800 CL5

tests on a Phenom II X4 810 by ixbitlabs.com showed that the DDR3 1333MHz C9 platform is on the whole much faster than a DDR2 1066MHz C5 platform, let alone DDR2 800MHz..
