COUNTER STRIKE CUSTOMIZATIONS
For all those who don't know already...

SPRAY LOGOS : Create your own spray logos.

Steps:
1. Create or get a picture file (jpg,gif,bmp).
2. Download Decal Converter 1.3 from http://cssprays.www-pros.com/downloads/DecalConverter.exe
3. Use the software to convert the picture into a wad file.

CS 1.5
4. Rename the wad file as pldecal.wad
5. Copy the file into the cstrike folder and replace the existing file.

CZ
4. Rename the wad file as pldecal.wad
5. Copy the file into the czero folder and replace the existing file.

CS 1.6
4. Rename the file as tempdecal.wad and make it read-only (by rightclick -> properties -> tick the read only option).
5. Copy the file into the cstrike folder.

CS : Source
Forget the above steps... You can directly import jpg or bmp files in the customize menu. As easy as dat! You can even use animated files! Sprays in Source look too good!

Note: DO NOT GO TO CUSTOMIZE OPTION IN THE GAME. GO DIRECTLY AND PLAY THE GAME. Otherwise the pldecal file will get replaced and hence you'll get only the default logos. So do all your customisations before doing all this. Once you enter a server wait for a couple of minutes for yr spray to be uploaded. Keep spraying around till your actual spray comes. Till then it'll be wat we call a 'baby-spray'!

You can also download spray logo wad file from the net. Jus rename them properly. If the server has enabled these decals, it will work. I have tried them all successfully. I also use ES-Spray to store and manage all my spray logos. Try it if u want. And obviously use kinda small pictures! dont try to use wallpapers and all!!!

Tip : If you're playing multiplayer, pls do not go spraying around like crazy all over the place. It'll only make the map look messy!
INTRO MUSIC
Wanna change the intro music in CZ and CS 1.6 into yr fav mp3?? Its very simple...

CZ:
1. Rename the mp3 you want to downed_intro.mp3
2. Copy it to czero\sound\music\ folder and replace the existing file.

CS 1.6:
1. Rename the mp3 you want to gamestartup.mp3
2. Copy it to cstrike\media\ folder and replace the existing file.

You're done!

There are LOTS more ways to customize the game. You can edit almost all the text you see during the game. Just explore around... (and do it at your own risk! dont blame me!)

I've created dis guide cos i had searched a lot on da net and my pc and have spend a lot of time tryin to learn how to do all these, and so i'd like to help others..

BTW, when I play on a LAN someguy knows how to change other players names through the console. If you know how to do it, could you please tell me the command !

only if u r hosting the server u can change other's names....dont know whts the command.

Used to do this long time back, I dont think you can change the name of any player just the name of the player hosting the server.

The command is "name anyname"
Dont know if the command still works used to do this in cs 1.5 days.

I dnt think u can change any players name but u can change the Host name( Doesnt change on Dedicated n Linux Servers I think or if it is disabled by the host in anyways)

the command is ... cmd name "Server full of N00Bs" if u wanna change the server name to Server full of N00Bs
Remember 2 put the quotations if u have a space in the name!!! :cool2:

Er, no I am talking about CZ 1.2 And these guys are not the server, they are just changing everybody's name, even the guy who is playing as the server !
 
ok..
i just download css to my comp and i tranfered my maps and sounds and i can play them and all out of css but i want to put in a command in the consloe soi can play them while playing on a map
p.s i am not a admin on css(help plz)
 
^i think he wants to open console .. :p

@darkman : go to options - > keyboard -> advanced & enable console

then at any point of the game to enter any command , just press ~ & enter wat ever u want ( & press enter :p ) & then press ~ again.

@ Anish, you can only change the Name of the person who creates a Listen Server.

cmd is <cmd name "Whatever you want">

They did the same today, to one of my friends, who was infact the server. And it was CS 1.6 :S
