One Covishield jab in the pm.
Just before I slept that night I might have had slight fever, had slight body ache, both disappeared during the night.
Did not take paracetamol or any other pain killer, I try not to be a pill-popper :-)

The correct interval for the second jab is 10 to 12 weeks according to AZ and SII. Look it up.

And, can some one tell me if Mr Adar Poonawala (and his family) have been vaxxed with Covishield ?
That should tell us how safe & effective it is, LOL.

Really wanted to know why can't I select 2 members to get the vaccine anymore? I mean what's the point of registering multiple members on a single phone number?
Our vaccination centers are very far. Going there one by one even after the hassle of getting a slot would be too much.

They must have got the imported duty free style version in london...

It's not really obvious to regular folk just how elite these ultra-rich types are in each and every aspect of their lives. Some may think that by buying a bmw here for 60lakhs they've entered that coterie. Haven't even scratched the surface...

Couldn't it be an actually covid infection causing the myo and not the vaccine?

I'm not sure, but the person was possibly RT PCR/ NAAT negative.

It's a rather encouraging news. Though I'm sorry that your friend suffered.

Received two doses of covishield 6weeks apart... experienced malaise and mild fever after both doses for 2-3 days along pain at the site of injectionvon same day

We have no vaccines in Kerala since early April.
But almost everyone i know above 60 has been vaccinated here at least once, most twice.

And quite a few under 60 too. It's not great but it's something.

I'm mainly pissed the govt wouldn't allow 'non essential' Amazon and FK earlier, they just started yesterday though yay!

Is it? They are still only delivering essentials in Thrissur.

Btw, yes the 60 plus group were able to get 1 or 2 pokes until around 10th April but I haven’t been able to get one for my mom since 11th April . Have been trying almost everyday.

i only had one rudimentary question ,which vaccine is more natural which doesn't play around with rna /DNA which doesn't , i am very keen on covaxin as it doesnt fool around with random things. it seems to train the body to identify covid virus and train it to create antibodies against it.

Ernakulam. Yesterday FK was accepting pin codes but not Amazon. Today Amazon too. But no bank offers now lol

You're mistaken. I know it can be super hard for non medical people to understand.

But the RNA/DNA vaccines aren't messing with your body's DNA. It's just a delivery method or vector. Way better (method, in theory) than inactivated ones like covaxin or adenovirus vector vaccines like AZ/Covishield, Sputnik etc. The mRNA vaccines like Moderna and Pfizer will be outdone by DNA vaccines coming soon. Yes sometimes, newer technology IS indeed better! :)

There is nothing 'natural' or more natural about any vaccine. In different delivery methods, they all basically introduce a hostile foreign object or the code required to generate antibodies so that the immune system gets to work in advance.

Also I'm not 100% sure about this (where's an immunologist when you need one), but i think injected vaccines only develop IgG and/or IgM antibodies, which fight an infection after it's spread in your body. A nasal spray vaccine is required to generate IgE antibodies which can actually fight the virus before it can even infect your body. This is probably something specific to respiratory viruses. And i may be completely wrong. Docs here, please chime in.

I've heard from multiple sources in Bombay that the legal way is no go, you have to use contacts and pay for a vaccine. Easy-peasy. This was a couple weeks ago though.

Not sure if the same method can work in Kerala, but the damn website is useless.

Just got this message from our building association's secretary:

If Anybody in our apartment interested to take paid vaccination(Covishield), pls let me know. Fee Rs.900.

(Second dos only after 112days)
