Now, for international traveling I'm unsure how to go about it.
In my city, no vaccines are available AFAIK and when inquired, they sais its not mandate now nor available easily anymore.
I haven't taken a single covid vaccine nor intend to unless absolutely required for NAMESAKE purpose to get something done/have a huge purpose.
Ask them instead to provide a vaccine which guarantees to counter any such new threats!Assuming this is because of new threat?
It doesn't seem to be. I've been checking for a week and there absolutely no slots listed (not even not available, just not listed). It relies on uploads from centers for slots and I think that had stopped.Does cowin portal list vaccine centers near you now, isn't that portal active ?
vitt is extremely rare and not a confirmed case so far from India. Risk runs for only around 6 weeks from vaccination, as per definitionSo, shall we say that whoever got anything but covishiled are at risk for their entire life?
Chill, even covishield has issues. It was discussed in this thread earlier : https://www.indiatoday.in/health/st...-blood-disorder-vitt-study-2539834-2024-05-16So, shall we say that whoever got anything but covishiled are at risk for their entire life?
The vaccines definitely saved lives of a few million people, but to say that they saved our civilization is pushing it too far.The vaccines did their job : saved our civilization.
That is a strong statement. I guess it can be back tested by looking for mortality rates and outcomes between the vaccinated and unvaccinated. Another way is to compare all-cause mortality between least vaccinated countries (like Burundi) and the most vaccinated ones. I might do the second bit based on public data and report back (hopefully I will have time). You are alive possibly due to them, and 20-70% of your acquaintances are very likely alive because of the same vaccines.
Now that the paste is out of the tube, people should take mindful, informed decisions about how take care of their health. So, shall we say that whoever got anything but covishiled are at risk for their entire life?
Yes, now that hastily introduced vaccine 'saved the civilization', let us hope science and society can do a well studied research to mitigate side effects if any. Probably will help with not just side effects of vaccine, but overall health of people. The vaccines did their job : saved our civilization.
COVID-19 mRNA vaccine linked to myocardial scarring in adolescents and young adults
New study uncovers a higher prevalence of heart scarring in young males after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination, raising concerns about long-term outcomes despite mild initial symptoms of vaccine-associated myocarditis.COVID-19 mRNA vaccine linked to myocardial scarring in adolescents and young adults

No, not just by looking for these two. That would ignore the number of variants that could have got generated in absence of the vaccines in the countries where there was a good vaccination rate, to give a very small example. A million other confounding variables, on top.. I guess it can be back tested by looking for mortality rates and outcomes between the vaccinated and unvaccinated
Fatality rate is low for COVID -19 ,that's the reason for this. What we are worried about is people developing severe COVID, only a small percentage go to category c. These individuals have a high survival benefit if vaccinated . Otherwise they still have a high mortality even with maximum supportive care. Now that the paste is out of the tube, people should take mindful, informed decisions about how take care of their health.

Note that most survived Covid19 without vaccine.
