Hey guys,

I m new 2 techenclave.

This is wat i hav found,they hav finally uploaded d spects of Cowon V5 PMP Welcome To Iaudio :hap2:

according to the tech repr prices wil b uploaded by evening..(Pre order price 21.5k):clap:
Would really appreciate your positive replies as i m already in a mood to buy on pre order price after d actual launch d price wil go up by 2-3k:huh:

Isnt that too much when u can get 64gb apple touch for 18.9k ard on ebay? Or am i missing something?
 
4.8" for a PMP can be very very uncomforable sometimes. and you can't carry it in your pocket.

My suggestion would be Zune HD for audio perfection or ipod touch for an allround PMP

You've posted the same query at abi. Hope somebody at abi answers your question.

But, I have a feeling that they are going to point you to this thread: Cowon V5 released where they discuss about what a disaster it's going to be :)

Yes u r missing d following :
memory card slot so expandable upto 32gb SDHC,huge format support dat u can check on d spects(i doubt any other player supports des kind of format),excellent battery play bak(45hrs for audio n 10hrs for video),WVGA screen having reso. 800 x 420,HDMI out and Win CE 6 etc.;)

I want dis player for video n audio at times..i hav other Cowon players which can b easily carried.Zune dsnt hav any support in India so it is out and touch dsnt sound dat gr8 compared to Cowon but yes dey hav few gud applications which i m not excited for..:no:

Seeing that you have a D2 with expansion slot and S9 32GB, are you looking for something that combines both? ;)

What would be the purpose?

I mean D2 is terrific for Music as far as I can read. S9 has touch, video and BBE+ and all the things you need. So, why V5?

I m anti-apple bcoz of my past experience,no doubt dey look cool but everybdy has it n owing it dsnt make any special..i dnt mind paying more if i m getting more.

I guess u guys shuld listen to Cowon players once dey sound jst gr8..i had nano older version but it just dint deliver anything:@.My friend has a touch but it dsnt cum close to Cowon's basic player also wen v talk about SQ,EQ,video etc.Even he regret not taking S9 as he is jst bored about d touch applications.
v at times upload d same videos n i tease him for video quality:rofl:
Now both of us r interested in V5:bleh:
 
14 all even i m not an apple fan too...But right now its 64 giga price have made me in wait status...

Earlier i was hell down bent to buy cowon s9....but now i m as confused as a dog..

Also i too think wifi should have been there..Also no mention of fm....than it will surely miss my bus

You refering to V5 or S9 here ??

I dnt knw y ppl r so bent towards wifi in India,wen v knw it is only restricted to offices,home,hotels,malls and airports..

hotels,malls and airports - wil not allow u 2 use it free of cost(u need user ids etc)

Office n home - almost everybdy has internet on pc(which is much faster).Then who wil use wifi.

fm could be a miss though.

btw hw much is touch 64gig officially in India.
 
i speaking about v5 as not much details are about it

Also what i have seen is cowon don't give cables(accessories) in pre orders and later add it..so in all it cost same

Touch u get in malls for 20k ard..mostly 21k

On ebay it around 18875(including shipping i guess).hot deals no coupon allowed ...but that still makes it a sweet spot

I have been using iPod Touch and the advantage that wifi gives is amazing. I use it at home and I sit far away from my pc and use ymessenger/tweet/gtalk all sitting relaxed in chair. Feels much better than keeping a laptop on lap.

Thanks for reply..but i hav a bb for fb,twit,gtalk,y msngr. etc. n i dnt need wifi also for dat..bb gives this service to der customers..d applications open in blinking speed..0 loading time..

But 1 can always negotiate with dem for a better price.I did it on my purchases n dey dint disappoint me.Ofcourse i cant expect on V5 as its on pre order.I expect dem to include all d accessories in V5 also:huh:(charger,cables etc.) as it is a premium PMP.der Q5,A2,O2,A3 had all accessories in d package.

I hav askd my friend in Korea to confirm d content in d package..;)
 
I would say that it's too hasty to pre order. Cowon O2 was near to disaster with too issues and sound quality hiccups. It is better to wait, let the user opinion roll out and go for it.

Also, paying 22k for a device that can only play audio and video and with bad portability is well, .......

I have used Cowon D2 before jumping to ipod touch and overall, am pretty happy with ipod touch. And though I have 5800XM that does all the chatting stuff etc, the simplicity of ipt and the onscreen keypad is just ....

and if your friend is using ipod touch 1G, the latest 3G ipod touch is lot lot better be it audio or processing power.

right now 64Gb iPT should cost near to 24k.

In short, If I were you, I would not waste such an amount of money on a device that has very very minimal capabilities given that you already have two amazing PMPs in your pocket.
 
14 all since u getting it outside india than it wont be a problem for u

In india thats the case u dont get tv out cables or connecting cables and need to pay 1-2k+ for original ..

Also there was no reason to jump for ..Even 3-4 months down the line it will be an exclusive product..

I also read alot about cowon interface hence i didnot jumped on s9

Regarding touch it has the fm hardware but still not supporting hence i avoiding that also right now.plus the sounds heard is not great as cowon

Now v5...it doesnt look to have fm..wifi though avoidable wouldd had been better if it would had been there.And also no details about its firmware stuff much hence i better avoid now too

Desii touch 3g 64 giga available for 19k brand new...try that if u want it

My friend in India has itouch :ashamed:3G and my friend in Korea has Cowon S9.
I am aware of O2 not doing so well and dats d reason i never bought it..;)
But looking at d features of V5 i m pretty excited.:ohyeah: & still

I wil buy it frm India only bcoz of service support
The package content in the box wil b same as mentioned n i m hopping it to b like other big PMP's(All big PMP's hav all cables included atleast with Cowon products past eg. A3,Q5 etc) and i m sure about apple also not givin all cables with it(except,USB and earphone or rather der r not much u can do like line in recording,charger,TV out etc)
Normally a brand dsnt want to put in everything in d package bcoz dey dnt want to increase d cost of d product.
