can anyone upload the following file...... i tried downloading it using the JDownloader....... but that didn't work..... and then from site its saying too many download attempts....... max download : 5...... i waited for 12 hours and still its saying the same..........

I bought the full version sometime back for like 200 bucks. Didn't like it too much. Also careful with the settings. This thing literally rapes your Rig no matter how uber it is.

Installed it half an hour back, played it for like ~15 minutes, uninstalled it right away. :|
Gawd, the game is so taxing even at the lowest settings - I mean Crysis and Metro 2033 was a bit fair to my PC in comparison to this one. The guy just kept moving from bulkhead to bulkhead.
Btw has anyone tried completing the game?

Completed it back in December 2008 when the Russian version was out. I remember playing this game just before Christmas eve. I loved the game and despite it's poor performance, I somehow managed to complete it. The last chapter had turned into a slide show. Apart from that, the performance was bearable. The atmosphere and story were great.

I think I should download Stalker: Call of Pripyat having completed and liked the previous 2 titles in the Stalker franchise.
Give it a shot I'd say. Some said that disabling Physx improves the performance. I have an ATI card and despite doing that it remained the same. Ridiculous save points as well.stalker said:

you guys better keep in mind that if any game has any relationship with "1C Company" then most probably it sucks. i would have never downloaded the game if i knew it was a 1C Company publish in the 1st place. :|

But....but.... the game got earned some rave critic reviews... The performance is bad, especially on ATI hardware (I tried the ahem version long time back on my rig [see signature]) and the performance just plain sucked..... But I am gonna download this free legit copy and try giving it another chance.. I have heard its really atmospheric...
If it still run with the same performance, then I will save it for when I upgrade my graphics card later.
This game reminds of another game necrovision. It was a good game but I did not like it just because I hate shooting zombies and ghosts in an FPS. I prefer humans.. But it was a nice game too.. Maybe you guys can try that one.

It's grossly under-rated. The performance issues killed this game.. It's a recurring issue with these Indie European developers. Try toggling between some graphic settings to see if you could get playable frame rates.
