^^ yeah true, but i'm not too optimistic, considering hell lotta stupid console files in the PC beta(dont their developers or beta testers know the difference btwn console and pc??)
They know there job well; people dont understand the thing and start speaking crap.

At gamer or advanced or btw gamer and advanced settings it probably can run at 19x10 60fps on a GTS 250!

Please read before posting.

I am talking of low-medium settings. Gamer to Advanced. Not hardcore.

And a 5850 or even 4890 perhaps runs at 60 FPS at 19x10 at Advanced settings.

At hardcore a 5850 is playable at 16x10 or lower.

That is not the point.

The point is that there is a good chance that it runs at 60 FPS at 19x10 at Low settings.

He never said that he plays on Hardcore.

From the reviews I read online, which I am unable to trace back, a 5850 does fine at 19x10 Advanced settings.

And going down to Gamer is a huge performance boost, probably. So, it could be like doubling the FPS.

However, without any proper benchmarks available which can be viewed by all, I don't want to state anything and nor will I accept any baseless statement!

I got that link again!

Going a notch rez down makes it plus 20% performance.

And going a notch graphics down is at least plus 50% performance.

So if a 5770/4850/250/etc scores around 25 FPS at 19x10 Hardcore, at 19x10 Lowest/Gamer it is likely to score around 50-60 FPS which is like 60 FPS for a significant period of time, if not most of the time!

Well, I was talking about the lowest preset available in the Crysis 2 beta, that's Gamer btw

After reading the link you posted, i really dont get the point of why you posted a reply..

the HD5770 gives 41fps, that's on the lowest/gamer preset under crysis 2 beta, and in 1680x1050. It's on the same page whose link YOU just posted. It will barely make it to say 32-33 fps under 1920x1080.

GTS250 is weaker than HD5770, guess that rules out 60 fps from everyone's dreams right?

You got the calculation wrong.

It is 41 or so FPS in 16x10 advanced.

At 16x10 gamer it will be 60+.

At 19x10 gamer it will be around 50 or so. but 50+.

And there isn't too much difference btw a GTS 250 and a 5770, at most 15-20%.

And depending on which level etc he is, there can be some performance difference.

So he might be right if he says that he is playing at 19x10 Gamer (which is the lowest available in the beta) on a GTS 250 with FPS hovering around 50-60 FPS for most of th time, if not around 60 where there is anyway a cap.

Also, please note that 60+ is still 60 so that lowers your actual average. If you remove the cap, the avg FPS goes up. So the results in that benchmark will probably increase by 2-5 FPS to get a really accurate benchmark.

I am not saying that he is lieing or he isnt lieing. But it is perhaps possible (will need to be actually tested to confirm tho) to run Crysis 2 at 19x10 lowest/Gamer settings with really good around 60 FPS performance especially if you have a Core i5/i7 with 3+GB RAM with you!
