Looks like majority (who want to play the game) has shitty gaming systems (they call them gaming systems because it can play FIFA).

Crysis even today beats looks of any game ,huge and awesome environments. There is no magic which will play a detailed game of the level of Crysis on a age old hardware, the high hardware requirements argument was valid when the game was released in 2007, in 2010 you can't complain about it.

Please read the second line carefully. We are talking about crysis 2 here so why are you starting a war with crysis 1? And that majority you are talking about here are not included because they haven't even played the game and if they haven't played the game, they are giving their opinions to a BRICK WALL!

^^ I think Crysis 2 will not be needing top of the line graphic cards, its coming on consoles too and consoles are limited to hardware. A mid range PC easily runs games which are also available on consoles, unless its a crappy port.

^^ That is one thing i am worried about. Lets see........ I hope they put some extra effort in the pc port. I hope its DX 11, coz I am planning to upgrade my gfx card at about that time....

^I think PC version supports DX 11,10 & 9 and console uses DX 9 not sure, btw to the topic i have not played Crysis but very difficult AI that i can say its def FC1 & FC2, FC2 is pretty tuf they respawn stupidly and try to kill u no matter wer u hide within the map range anyway its a frustrating slow gameplay. Personally "Mario" has pretty tuf AI tat i cud not pass the flying fish stage xD:D and also "KAGE" 8-bit version game has nice graphics, amazing gameplay and also tuf AI i cant beat that final BOSS:D

Shitty coding?

Which other 3 year old game do you know that still to this date looks generations ahead of games that are still yet to be released?

Crysis runs fine on my 9800GT and crappy X2 4800+ CPU at 1280x720 4xAA medium settings, 40+ fps always.

And at medium settings, it still manages to look way better than any other game out right now.

Now consider EA since you brought them up.

I tried playing BC2 on this same PC and it never gives me more than 25fps at 1280x720 0xAA lowest settings.

Not a Crytek fanboy, I haven't even played Crysis the full game; just stating facts.
i too have a 9800GT and 19' monitor

recently completed crysis 1 with full settings in 1400x900 resolution .... some times it stuck but mostly i played without any problem

Sorry dont wanna be harsh, but rather than that just go watch a movie......and even avoid pressing buttons.....or just watch the game on YOUTUBE.com !!!
many people have their walk thrus level by level, you wont even waste money on the game.

Again sorry for being harsh....please take it as a joke.....I couldn't stop myself......sorry
LOL that ain't harsh at all, the thing is i dont get a lot of time to play games, so i need to finish them quickly, and believe me i still take more than a month to finish any game, i am trying to complete warhead since past 3 months, i barely play an hour a week, so i dont know if u get me or not, but i dont get much time at all ^^

Unless you're gonna watch movies on ur monitor, for gaming i feel 22" is more than enough.

To me, anything over 20" feels like a nuisance; only for HTPCs and people who multi-task heavily.
I got 22" and its super nice for gaming, large enough for gaming, but small for HTPC, u cant lie on bed be see everything comfortably.

According to me, Crysis has very good AI. Most ppl are complaining that it was not upto the mark. Have been playing on Normal? Then yes. The game gives you all the help you want. Try playing on Hard or even better Delta. Normal in Crysis is meant to be simple. I agree some games are difficult even on Normal mode, but Crysis is NOT one of them.
You need to take into account that you could cloak in the game which
confuses the AI. Also you have large area to run

I played Normal which was ok. But Hard was really hard. You need to use some strategy while ambushing a Korean patrol team. And beating the first final boss along with those aliens flying is really tough part.

Most games make the enemies tougher to kill as you increase the difficulty. But good games make the AI smarter and more challenging.

The best I have seen so far is for Halo 2 Legendary mode, aliens move fast, change position with the shots, dodge grenades and also use tactics like spreading while attack.

It's quite impressive, up until now I've never seen a more intelligent AI (as far as PC gaming is concerned) then what FEAR had to offer. The original half life had some well coded AI as well.
:-) Glad atleast someone took notice, of the mention of FEAR
