I know girish didn't do anything with the OPAMPS, but could you check if the OPAMPS are properly seated to the card?
Otherwise, pay me back my money.
Girish calls me all the way from Kolkata since past few weeks.mallik said:Hi all,
I don't like to meddle in other people's affairs, but this seems not quite right to me, and hence am posting my views here.
Ok, I don't know why all of you can't see this, but using the same card, Girish was listening to music using Vista right ? Then he said he couldn't notice any difference in sound. Then he took some of Udit's suggestions, and tried to make some changes. Then he went offline. There is a possibility that he messed up the card during that time, which is now damaged. And now wants a refund because its not working for him. So the trust issue could be either way. If someone thinks Udit's tone is not right, I feel the same way about Girish as well. He has been outright accusing Udit from the first post. Did he try to PM some other member whom both know / some mod before posting this ? I think probably not. That is not mature behavior either.
Who is right and who is wrong can't be justified by just words exchanged on a forum.
Udit is very possessive of his PC as probably that's his source of connecting with the world. So he might be justified in not allowing anyone near it. For him getting all the accessories out and then fitting it might be a hassle (I feel he can't move too much). Why does the OP not install XP and let us know if the card is running or not ? Why is he adamant on testing it at Udit's place ?
I am not taking sides here, its just my personal opinion. Let the Op first agree to test the card on XP / take it to madmainac's place. Afterall he made the mistake of not testing the card before buying it. He is the one who is hurting here. When you give someting for RMA, don't your run around trying to get it replaced as quickly as possible ? I just see the OP trying to bully his way to a refund from udit, who might think it to be too painful to carry on this argument.
Case closed, no more posts.
If the OP feels the post is in anyway malicious, I apologise.
Last night, at 12:23am, I don't recollect girish78 telling me even once that he heard bomb explosion or crackling.girish78 said:When I installed card, drivers, rebooted PC, windows sound came up. Udit came online and then I told him that the card is working but then I did not play any music. I also noticed a bomb blast kind of noise when computer started up. It happened every time the system booted. I noticed crackled noise during music playback and then
I remember few days after starting the thread, Udit told me on msn that his card wasn't in warranty and then edited his thread.girish78 said:He had first mentioned in this thread that the card is under warranty and suddenly he changed and mentioned that the card is out of warranty.
The way you use those statements again are no less than accusations.girish78 said:The Vista drivers are a complete piece of crap. I installed Vista on a new partition and tried but the card has the same problem of the bomb blast noise during bootup and crackling music playback. I dont need technical help. I want my money back or replacement. This card was not designed to work for Vista. Its compatibility was XP as per the manual and box. If I cant get any help then thats the end of my dealing in TE. This one is not only a sour deal but rather a very dissapointing deal. I didnt expect Udit to behave in such a manner after he got the money. If you check the thread, you will find that he first mentioned it was under warranty and then he changed it was out of warranty. He also changed Opams in the card. I took the card as he told me that it wil work on Vista. When I went to his place yesterday he said that he will take the card back if the card does not work. Today he is asking for proof that he said that.
He told me that he used this card in Vista 64 bit for the past 1.8 yrs. How the hell can he do that as the Vista drivers were released few months back. The card was not getting sold in TE ( please check his thread). I bought it trusting his words but I think I was a fool I trusted him. He has shown his true face now and I request the mods to do something about it.
Seeing that I posted a thread in TE feedback he replied in MSN......
Udit says (2:28 PM):
kuch nahi hoga te ko bolne se
Udit says (2:29 PM):
i dont give a damn about te, its members & mods
So I am certain, his intention was to cheat me by giving me a faulty card.
MODS PLEASE RE-OPEN HIS THREAD AND HELP ME.lease: :help:
First you said sound quality was not as good as onboard.girish78 said:The product is not working man.
He said honboard sounded better and i was like
I said maybe he has crappy speakerrs or crappy ears- jokingly of course.
He said he has "BOSE"
I was like "no wonder"
But generally, it's not a seller's duty to check compatibility or pros and cons.
Udit said:Girish you must be really desperate to mess with a handicap
I don't know what you derived but you are surely immature and impulsive.girish78 said:Yes thanks Bike. I have learnt my lesson. I know what you mean by saying that. Your intensions are clear and I can see what you are trying to say.
Not a bad lesson to learn in todays times.girish78 said:Thank You once again. The lesson I learnt is dont trust anyone. I will remember this forever now.
Yes- you were wrong.girish78 said:Maybe I expected everybody to do that. I was wrong. Not everyone will do it.
Sort of.girish78 said:Even though seller confirms it works you check and re-check. In short dont trust anyone....... I HAVE LEARNT WHAT I HAD TO THROUGH THIS DEAL. I HOPE I CAN CLOSE THIS ON SUNDAY.
Please don't make it appear that TE is a bad place to trade.girish78 said:NO MORE DEALS IN TE. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. OTHERS PLEASE ENJOY.
I told him this on IM- said keep speaker off while booting as some DACs/sounds cards don't like it and boom/pop.cranky said:Quick note, not related to the dispute. A loud pop at switch on (through the speakers) is not a sign of a defect, or something that will be corrected by switching OS. This is normal operation for a lot of sources which have a very big capacitor on the output and a single supply, so the capacitor charges at power-on through the input of the connected amplifier.
The solution is to switch the speakers on after the source. My old SB Live!, the Alien DAC, and quite a few other cards exhibit the same behaviour. It's not something to worry about.
