Well, after the last couple of threads listing service issues with Dell, I thought I would post about a pleasant experience a friend had.
Last Thursday night, we had an outdoor party when his Latitude 5500 (DJ system
) got really hit as a couple of tent poles went flying in high winds, taking the whole system/table/speakers with it.
The result? A broken LCD, and no idea what else. Luckily the system was under complete-cover, but we didn't know how long the repair would take.
Called up Dell on Friday and they promised someone would be along on Monday. An engineer came along yesterday, spent some time, replaced the screen, and alls well
Yes, its complete-cover and its Business Level Support (Latitude/Vostro/Precision), but its still a good experience
