Guys, I'm pretty satisfied with my monitor. No dead pixels, close to minimal ghosting which is only apparent if you closely follow the mouse pointer and only at hardforums. Nowhere else. But I am not so sure about the backlight bleeding. It's only apparent in a completely dark room, the 4 corners appear to be grayish rather than black. Do any of you guys have any pics for example? I'll try to post mine later.

Nope, no ghosting at all with default settings, i.e. brightness/contrast@ 50 and RGB=100. The only real ghosting so far has been the faint trailing in Hardforums, even then it's only visible if one looks at the mouse pointer, if you're looking at the monitor normally you won't notice it.
One more thing I/ve noticed is that Dell have discreetly changed some settings in the OSD. PCRgb is no longer there, only PC Mode or MAC mode, the panel type is not displayed in the service menu.

guys!! plz help me out...
i just recently noticed that my new dell(few weeks old) E198WFP rev.A01 has minor backlight bleeding in the bottom left corner,along the edges..
On normal bright backgrounds it seems perfect but in darker instances(while watching divX movies),it kinda distracts !!!
not sure if revision a01 is the latest..
so wondering if i can (or) is it advisable to get the monitor replaced??
there's nothing else wrong with it(touchwood) except this little problem..
i've got 5 years of warranty too...
in case of replacement,will i get a new monitor or a refurbished one?? and how do i go about this??

if the RMA is within one month of purchase then i think you get new monitor, after that u get refurbished one.. wont be an issue though as even they will be certified and if ure not happy with it, u can ak for a replacement again and not return ur original monitor...
