Diablo III - Discussion Thread

flipkart has a few copies of it now i think .... saw it up for 3999.
And joining u guys soon. Just started with a barb on Act 2. Powerlvling a monk and dh through joining public games (both still in act 1).
 
Act III Witch Doctor Nightmare ... Solo is such a pain in the ass but strategy and proper buys at AH is helping me move on :)
 
^^ which doctor shines at the end stage around lvl50-55..
Played NM in public and 4 ppl ended up fighting act4 and it was too good, liked it every minute and finally Diablo was down...
 
Playing Nightmare are you? How are the repair costs? :D I guess it takes more gold to maintain your gear than buying them.

Edit : Nevermind, I always confuse Nightmare with Inferno :|
 
Finished Act 1 on Inferno. Boy, is it tough now!! Completing a level takes so much time now and so much repair cost! Some of the Inferno elites have to be seen to be believed as certain combos for them are like mortar plague shielding illusionist vortex which is kinda impossible to kill unless you have dozens of tries and tons of repair cost.

On a side note, sold my first item on the RMAH also! Lol. Got $1.5 after the $1 blizzard transaction fee. :)

Sold for $7.25 and I got $6.25 after Blizz $1 cut. It was low level yellow item, which probably dropped in Act1/2 normal. So, yeah, I just got really really lucky.

Also, I finally got the normal plans for Staff of Herding from Izual after killing him for 25 times at least and trying all kinds of silly things like letting the templar get the kill, killing him with 0 MF, killing him in a party. Finally, what worked was I just bought the 100K Wirts Cowbell from the vendor, put all the other items in my inventory and then went for a kill. Got it in 1st try, lol.

BTW, I just found out about Elective mode yesterday. Felt, so stupid when I read that. :)

i sold my first item too but for a very low pricing of 2$ :( and yeah it was a low lvl item too so kinda happy with the sale

But u got extremely lucky there.. congrats.. :)

That's true from Normal to Hell after which WD (and Barb) are the weakest of all classes if you want to solo Inferno.
Your pets get one-shotted by Inferno elites and then you're left with little to fend with until the 60 second cooldown after which they are one-shotted again.

It's not the difficulty or your character level, but rather the item level. Items with iLvLs over 53 have increased repair costs.

Buying Wirt's Cowbell didn't make the plan drop, it's just completely random :p.
I got it on my first try upon killing Izual when I didn't even know about Wirt's Cowbell.

And yeah, Elective mode is a must. Surprisingly a lot of people don't know about it and complain that D3 has lower skill customization than D2.

Yeah, I l know but after killing that Izual so many times with all possible combinations, I was ready to try anything. Checked forums and found all kinds of theories. It is just luck. Some people were complaining that they killed him up to 100 times without a drop. They could at least make it tradeable.

About elective mode, yeah, I dont know why Blizz keep it turned off by default. They could at least show a tip about it when we get our 3rd or 4th skill. It is such an important setting. Completely changed how I play my character now.
 
Working on getting the staff done now...so going one level down in difficulty to make sure its not too exensive to get it. Am still to find the thing in the frozen cave ....how difficult is it? Thats the last piece I need and then off to kill Izual.
 
^Actually, the guide that I read, said that getting the frozen cave item was the toughest. But luckily I got the cave in my 4th try and luckily Chillterra was there in it. It was on the level 2 of the cave. Most guides said it will spawn on level 1 only, but for me it was in level 2 right at the entrance.
 
Chiltara is always on level-2 of the Caverns of Frost, never level-1.
Also if you run into Icefall Caves in the vicinity, then immediately leave and reset the game as that's a surefire indicator that Chiltara has not spawned.


Found my second Legendary a few days ago with the perfect stat roll for my Barb (100 STR, 150 VIT) and 24 percent MF. Blade of Prophecy - Game Guide - Diablo III
Now my MF is a little over 100 percent, it's like walking around with a permanent 5+ stacks of Nephalem Valor :p.
 
^^ went to Whimsyshire in NM.. Not worth for the money u pay for opening it.. My friend took me but could hardly make money out of it and the pathetic unicorns are too powerful even for the lvl 50 (play safe u can kill them else dead)
