Coke and other aerated water manufacturers are just fooling ppl. All varieties of aerated water add weight, whether labelled diet or lite.

Along with all those coke cans, also get your blood sugar checked frequently. :|
You are probably ignorant of the fact that none of these aerated drinks are healthy and have no nutritional value whatsoever. Your question should be what causes less damage to me of these two ?
Similarly i would also suggest not to have those Real and Tropicana juices. They are either made from concentrated and also have high sugar content. Better have freshly squeezed juices.

Go natural, have Nimbu Paani (not the bottled ones) but freshly squeezed, coconut water.

In fact yesterday evening only i had a Ganga Jamuna (probably unknown in other parts of India, it is Mosambi and Orange Juices mixed together) and that too without sugar from a roadside vendor and it was far more satisfying.
I am planning to have natural juices frequently from now on. As it is i almost never have aerated drinks.

I avoi them like the plague, hsit copertaions pumping poison in to general populations viewn, by a lemon and make a lemonade stay the hell away form aereated and packaged drinks

Almost everyone who drinks alcohol, smokes cigarettes or even consumes sodas knows that they're not healthy. It's a choice they make to exchange some harm for some form of pleasure. For some, it may seem a foolish choice to make but to each his own. I wouldn't want to tell someone how to treat their own body (other than advising them) as long as what they do doesn't harm others. Of course, I'm not advocating the use of any of these substances neither am I accusing anyone of forcing their opinions on others. Just making a point.

I have never liked coke...I am Mirinda/Fanta guy..Its time they launched a diet Fanta/Mirinda in India....If it is Cola..Has to be Thums UP..Frankly speaking, Aerated drinks quench your thirst better than nimbu paani..May be it is the sugar content in it...but still it livens u up...But for complete satisfaction...It has to be Coconut water..Just divine.

^^Same here. I like Thums Up better than Pepsi or Coke. Also like Limca. Don't really opt for the others unless I have no choice. Also love lemonade, coconut water, lime soda and some juices.

Mountain Dew is the most in demand, and I'm addicted to it, before that it used to be thums up... Coke is the cheapest... 1.25l costs 39 and 2. 25l costs 59 in my area..

Neither is better in terms of health, but Diet Coke will help you avoid the extra calories (there are 120 cals in a normal coke can)

That does not mean you can pig out on other junk food.

And if anyone says diet drinks lead to weight gain due to the aspertame or whatever, there is no scientific evidence to back that up.

@raksrules actually i really want to ask "question should be what causes less damage to me of these two" but due to my bad English didn't got that line :P
@booo, yeah i had also planned to take coffee, but i don't know to use burner, so bought a espresso machine, but still failed to generate good froth for cappuccino

I am ready to take Nimbu pani, but it really causes soar throat in winter, during summer i loveeeeeeeeeee it :D

Its like asking "Which is Better, HIT or Mortein?"
Both are crap, if you are health conscious. I never drink these stuff.

If you guys are talking about pesticides and stuff in drinks, I've read reports that this is probably due to the groundwater that they use as raw material being contaminated (although I admit I'm not entirely sure about the validity of these reports and I'm not an expert on these matters. There are probably many details I don't know). These chemicals are present not only in drinks but even in the food we eat. Other than that I'm not too sure about the health risks of the ingredients used in making colas themselves.

For me it is not due to pesticides and drinks. In general these are bad, pesticide or no pesticide.

carbonated drinks are a mix of carbon dioxide and flavoured sugar water. carbon dioxide is bad for health any way you look at it. its a poisonous gas, else the body wont be burping it out in minutes after you drink it.
