Difference between Xbox 360 & PS2 not obvious to Indian reviewer

you don't need to buy a 1080p capable to HDTV's to play Ps3/X360, that's a big thing to get even in the U.S. And 1080p is only useful of you have a large ass HDTV.

Normal HDTV's, costing anything from 45k onwards is fine and just what is required.

And in another note, whatever the targer crowd of the Reviewer is, he should never bring piracy in it. If the reviewer has compared original X360 games with illegal copies of Ps2 games, he loses all his points there itself.

BTW, aam admis don't really buy gaming consoles in india. And if he was talking about the middle class , then HD tvs are certainly affordable.The only point is they must know what(which tvs) to buy and where to look.

That is exactly my point.... if a person is able to spend around 29k on a console to play games on that person is sure capable enough to by an hd tv... which serves many other purposes... other than being a good display for the 360.
This is where the reviewer screws up... by not considering the fact that the 360 is meant to be played on the hdtv... and hd being it's biggest usp.
Besides can ay1 here imagine spending 50k on the cpu and then buying some random 15"crt monitor?

In any case, lets consider the fact X360/ps3 are still playable on normal TV's as well. So some might consider getting X360 first and then saving up for HDTV, or vice versa.

I doubt anyone in this forum has done that.
if you want to down load pirated backups and 50 rs. games for XBOX 360, then its a different matter, not if you want to go legit, then its a whole lot for an average indian console gamer.

but i may be wrong about this.

If youre saying that dada, then i agree the reviewer should not have used a normal TV.

Apart from that maybe if you see our forum where there are a lot of gamers, how many are able to go for a 360 + hdtv ????

Well you know, I am one of the people looking to go for a ps3 and a new monitor. but i hate the fact that its so bloody costly here compared to the us etc. So i probably wont buy it here. and yes i probably will use it with a 20" LCD.

Not because i feel its worth the price, but because it will probably save me money on endless computer upgrades.

the average indian even the upper middle class would think 10 times before buying an expensive new fangled car and then finding out that unless the road is "special 8 lane HD concrete" it will be only a little different from the old maruti he had.
