Nop but wanted to see how much pain would boi get from it..:P :P

Well now, don't deny it, only the most ridiculously die hard fanboi would go to the trouble of googling for an article and posting it just to tickle the whiskers of another fanboi in the opposite camp. It's Plain stoopid, I way...

Also, If you aren't a fanboi, you wouldn't have skipped out the countless articles on nVidia using similar techniques deliberately for getting an edge in benchmarks. They are in fact more common to find on Google than this particular article. (Just google "GPU Driver cheats" and see what I mean)

Both brands have their problems and both use odd techniques like this when needed for improving performance. So chill out and just enjoy whatever card you have. ;)

well to be frank i know both are creating trouble anyway. but my intension was only to make it clear that even after two driver releases the bug was not rectified. nothing else. regarding to go for trouble for finding that article, i would say that it is not posted on a usual site but a well reputed one and almost everyone goes to it for collecting information regarding technology. fanbiosm is not my character like others here who real are diehard fanboi.. :cool2:

Yeah, I am a fanboi of performance and value for money. Just for the record, my first 3D accelerator was a nVidia Riva TNT and over the last 10 years, I have bought 5 nVidia and 3 ATi cards.

And also please stop getting frustrated over the fact that most non-fanboi members here do not understand or approve of your carnal love for nVidia and classify them as ATi fanboi's

Seriously Lord Nemesis... you need to calm down, you're such a fanboi, shame on you. I mean look at him... after his "not-so-aggressive" and "highly-intellectual" post, along with "very-friendly" and "sporty" jabs at all other "ATi-fanbois" (us all, as certified by him)... how dare you get so hyper and agitated?? We are a civilized forum here, and you're acting like a madman... serisouly... chill. ;)

<end sarcasm />

^ thread would have ended at post #8 as i ignore him, greenhorn sir awakes me & here we are in the sea of sarcasm by him..:|

heh, issues like these show up everywhere. my 690G doesnt render the molten lava surfaces in portal at all ( I'd tried DX7 and DX 9 modes). Worked out of the box on my 6100. Died quite a few times before finally figuring out :P

the 6100 is also not blameless - has its own set of different issues :P

Sorry It is presently under use by the Enthusiast MUZUX2..:P :P. I will request him to give it back so that u could walk on it.:hap5:

why are u taking it seriously. Don't worry some day there will be a topic against nvidia on the same pro nv site as suggested by u.:P

please share some hardships on that also so that we will become aware of.:D

Heres a link to a recent pic comparison:
Image Quality of ATI and Nvidia - Review Tom's Hardware : Radeon HD 4870 X2: Four Cards Compared

As far as i can tell ATi does seem to have better quality but the difference is SO minute, I dont think it really matters much.

i want to know how big is this SO according to u after analysing ur link.

^As far as i can tell, only a zoomed in view gave a minute increase in detail...In the real gaming pace, i dont think you would notice the difference.

^^ Diff very minute, but maybe you might get a orgasm playing on a NV card.. so yeah varies from person to person :)

Well let us try to find the differences under normal view first. there is no need one should zoom a screenshot so to find a difference.:) well when i started this thread i considered it coz it was showing differece in rendering an object under normal view and that could be detected by even a child playing the game.

CAUTION:- you might experience infertility issues while playing a game on a ATI card.:P :P

^^ Lol I dont get overhyped by the graphics company. Infact currently since last 5 months am on a NV card, and have purchased a new NV card next week too. Prior to that were on 2 ATI cards for 2 years. Have used 4 NV cards, and 2 ATI chips, all have served well for my purpose at the price for which I buy.

Unlike you guys :)
