Not bad. I mean the Metascores are at 83 and 85. So the reboot doesn't seem all that bad aye? Might be worth a shot.

I just hate that Dante's looks - malnourished. He looked so muscular and strong in DMC 4. :( I'll take that it is a complete reboot and attempt it perhaps.

Actually the most hatred for the game has been due to the character and people are losing focus on gameplay the game may not be fantastic but not bad either

Was there any backtracking involved? I mean did you have to re-visit the same location during the course of the playthrough? This was another annoying thing in the past DMC titles. Completed the first DMC recently and even that had a fair share of backtracking. I recall 3 and 4 did to a large extent.

Nope, absolutely no backtracking unless you want a 100% completion rate.

And you are forgetting the dialogues too. Even though DMC 3/4 dialogues wont win any Oscars, the ones in DmC are quite pathetic. The whole lot of F-- you is mind numbing. I also missed the boss fights. DMC 3 had one at each level at least, 4 rehashed some bosses, this new one has 5 out of 16 odd levels.

S*l* is game ko acche ratings kaise mil gaye.:lemmings: hmmm will clear the backlogs later. Will play this first then.

The old fans of this series gets this.

The game feels good infact awesome if you remove the title DMC! Its really not a dmc game,It lacks the style and those cocky or witty one liners of the original dante.Apart from that the story seems to be better than the rest of the dmc series especially dmc4 (exception would be DMC 3).The game looks gorgeous and the combat is smooth.People are complaining against ninja theory for removing the lock on option but as far as i am concerned i think thats not much of an issue.

Anyways this game is what bully is compared to GTA.Its the juvenile version of DMC but with lots of profanity!

I suppose I'll begin the game today evening. Excited a bit because this is a DmC (pseudo?) title and I am starting a title after almost 2 weeks! :P

Anyways, let's see how this shapes.

Yeah that happens with me too.. excited to play but after hard 2 weeks & since darksiders 2 now I'm about to see this DMC..:D

Fired up the game yesterday morn, completed 16 chapters and paused in between the 17th! :P

The first thing I did after firing up the game was to interchange X and Y controls. X was previously mapped to use the gun(s) and Y for the sword slashes but it felt a bit odd so swapped them. Other than the fact that the new Dante looks a bit gay with the malnourished looks, I liked most of the other things the game had to offer. And it definitely looks like Ninja Theory did a decent job at the reboot. Gameplay was solid albeit a bit slow paced and the combos felt a bit easy to pull off compared to the previous titles. Any unlocked move from the list can be sold to claim the bonus points which was a godsend - I recall Darksiders II had an option to reset the skill tree and the points could be reallocated later. The visuals were pretty good and thanks to the UE 3 the game ran just fine at 60 frames with all the settings maxed out. The soundtracks played during the challenge sequences were amazing! Story does seem a bit predictable and I get a feeling I am going to fight a relatively known boss here towards the end of the game not discounting Mundus.

The previous titles were known for the kickass boss battles but somehow boss fights in this one seemed a bit uninteresting and simple. With some mindless hacking and slashing they could be slayed. Enemy variety is okay but the AI seems dumbed down. I’ve been playing it on the Devil Hunter (normal) difficulty and I recall a handful of deaths that must have happened this far. Dialogues are stupid possibly due to the western influence but Ninja Theory should have retained some of the subtle elements that made the franchise stand out among the rest. There’re no means to watch the cutscenes later (from the main menu or otherwise) so any cutscene skipped cannot be viewed at the player’s discretion.

But anyhow, I liked it this far. Looking forth to finish off the title today (hopefully!).

Done with the title. Just 3 more chapters remained and concluded it pretty quickly. Boss battles were pretty mediocre I must say. Nothing in the league of DMC 4. Anyways, that was a good warmup for the fingers before GOW: Ascension arrives. :P
