dns address that blocks adverts and keeps vowifi working as well

I have been having a strange issue since ages
I can use vowifi on my android only if the private dns option is either disabled or set to automatic (both of which don't block the adverts)..
If I use mullvad or adguard dns, though they effectively block the adverts but vowifi fails to work..

Since past few months the mobile network quliaty is going down irrespective of the operator or location.. Hence vowifi is a mist when Indoors atleast..

Are there any dns addresses that can block adverts and don't make jio to disable the vowifi.

You should give AhaDNS a try.

Don’t know whether VoWifi will work. I just know that I used to use it.

Never faced issue with any DNS and VoWifi on Apple devices.

The core problem here is, Your previous Encrypted DNS provider might be blocking(or simply not receiving) DNS responses for *.3gppnetwork.org or vowifi.jio.com.

As long as there is a good response for these endpoints, Vowifi should work.

Unfirtnatkey the new one also stopped working.
I have to switch to none or automatic for vowifi to work.
How yo solve this..
Signals are getting worse by the day especially indoors, hence vowifi is must.

@JMak Use nextdns with a custom list which unblocks these domains and make sure it's using EDNS.

Alternatively, Setup your own adguard home instance and use that. Use EDNS with a upstream provider that supports EDNS.

Hey, can you try adding these to your DNS exception/white list?

vowifi.jio.com
epdg.epc.mnc873.mcc405.pub.3gppnetwork.org

These are the DNS for VoWifi for Jio. Except these everything else will go through ad block.

I am not on Android, so I don’t know how to do this.

This would be useful if there is some app that is blocking the adverts..
I don't think on Android there is any option
