seriously so is it worth investiong in the card ???? because i have a 8800gt AD can it be powered by my corsair VX450w smps
 
Actually it's not worth upgrading from 8800gt to this. At least 3 tier jump should be there when upgrading gfx card. But at this price, this is a better buy than GTX 260 at over 11k.
 
Its good to be a bit future proof I guess. You dont want a GPU to be totally outdated 6 mnths down the line to the point thats its out of framebuffer!
 
250 513mb is just minor upgrade over 8800GTX ... you need to wait as Chagli said...

jump over atleast one generation .... wait for 275 to come down or rather new wave of card around july
