Do you justify protests against Bush's visit to India?

BTW, Americans hate the UN ("The UN is nothing but a useless body of scoundrels on chairs"; direct quote from one of my friends). They feel the UN sits around too much, and are unwilling to enforce any sanctions or decisions that it puts on anything.

Tell your friends that UN will always remain a mute spectator bcoz its a puppet of the US.

Btw did you guys know that India owes more 100 billion dollars to the world bank. 119.7 billion to be precise.

All he wants is to Curb India's Growing Economy, and he wants a Strategical Advantage over China and the rest of the East...

Dude do you know what the 'Growing Indian Economy' badly needs??
Energy Security. How is he curbing india's growing economy by providing us energy security.

Regarding China and rest of the east... of course he wants a counter-balance. He doesnt want a communist state manipulating their currency and causing huge loses to american economy. Everyone would want a strategic partner who is about to become huge.

And the justification that he has provided regarding pollution caused by fossil fuels and the rising prices of oil cannot be downplayed. It is a very legitimate concern. OF course India and China will be the highest polluters in the world soon enough.

Although we have had decent relations with Iran but what if someday they decide to shut off the fuel supply.

Now temme do we want a nuclear powered economy or a nuke in each home.

The power shortage in india is growing to alarming levels..even a technologically advanced state like maharashtra is severely affected..because of shortage of water supply from natural water carriers like rivers, the power generation has been unable to keep up with the needs of the people..and this is why we see frequent load sheddings in all parts of maharashtra upto 6 hours daily and about three hours in mumbai suburbs..(thank god, i stay in south mumbai..there are no load sheddings here..)

Maharashtra has still not forgotten the Enron debacle which cud have helped compensate the power shortage to a large extent...

In such a condition, the Indo-US N deal is a boon for india..it wud help compensate a part of the power shortage we all are suffering...this is not a time to protest against Bush and his policies..he's giving what india desperately needs...POWER...POWER TO THE PEOPLE....!!:)

Were all talking about Power Power Power.

I just have a feeling that in the long term. This will not work out for us.

Its just a Gut feeling.
