CPU/Mobo Does MSI P965 motherboard support DDR2 800MHz RAM ?

Would like to know from experts here, does Intel C2D E6300 1.86Ghz and MSI P965 motherboard support DDR2 800MHz RAM ?
I currently have 667 MHz DDRII Ram, was thinking of changing.

Yes it supports.

how about sticking with your present setup as long as possible and then upgrading to Quad/DDR3 setup ?

The reason is that currently i have 1 GB(512*2) of RAM and upgrading to Win 7, so need 2 GB RAM (for decent performance). Now 667 MHz 512 sticks are rarely available in Nehru Place, Delhi, so if i don't get it my fallback option is to sell the 667 MHz RAMS and buy 2*1 800 MHz RAM which are more easily available.

2x 1GB will cost you more.

would advise getting a used stick of 2GB from TE market for now.. would still be under warranty most probably.. spending on a new ram may not be worth it if you plan to upgrade your setup in an year down the line.
