So, DTDC has messed up big time with my important parcel. It was coming from Bangalore to mumbai and as per yesterday's update, it has reached my nearest branch but today, strangely, its again showing that its being transited from bangalore to mumbai !!!

This is not just another mess up but serious concern about the whole system. I have escalated it enough but I really want to know if someone knows anyone senior in DTDC mumbai who can help me out.

As always, I’m counting on this amazing community to come through — your help means a lot!

If it's left to mumbai then it will reach back to sender's location
Ask him to send it back again
You've got no choice now
No, its not that.
It shows that it has reached Mumbai (from Bangalore earlier)
BUT
today, again it is showing that its coming from Bangalore to Mumbai.

(Its not that its returned from Mumbai to Bangalore)

Parcels rarely get lost these days. I ordered from Alibaba, package was unclaimed at PO, got sent back, went from Mumbai to Singapore, then finally showed up at my door 2 months and full refund later.

This happens when they scanned the parcel to ship it to next location but misplaced and didn't put it in the container. Usually happens with small packages.
And when it didn't show up in Mumbai it was searched for and scanned again in bangalore and sent

Sometimes it's just weird tracking info shown by DTDC. Like it reaches the final hub and then tracking shows that it has left the origin city for destination city etc. You can ignore those.

Once or twice, I've had a package accidentally sent back to the previous hub. It gets re-routed to the correct destination eventually. It causes a delay but it's unlikely that the package will get lost.

Thank you for that re-assurance!
Really helpful. Will keep you posted on the developments.
