DTDC took off my HTC tytn II

DTDC has a strong point in their favour that the item was not declared as a mobile, so they cannot compensate for the value of a mobile. In all probabilities, threatening that you will go to the police will not help your case. And what will you complain to the police, when you have no proof that you have sent a mobile? The only thing that might work here is talking with the DTDC guys..

Damn, I feel for you.

I hope you get it back. You should be able to. Just press them and you might get lucky.

Just don't waste any time. Act (according to what others have suggested here) very swiftly.

compenstion means same cost i gave to him or reduced

You will not get any compensation unless you insured the package. Declaration of contents is not the same as insuring. Without insurance the max liability is limited to 200~300 bucks.

correct me f i am wrong. If the package is not insured and if the item he shipped is broken or got defective during shipping then they wont pay you the money.

But in his case DTDC has flicked his phone. This should be seriously taken by the courier companies. Dont give up. Bug them until they pay you.

Contact a family/friend lawyer for further clarification on how to take this up before performing any mistake.

i would say, goto police station and report mobile stolen. Do mention the IMEI no. (Get this from vizag, they surely have the records)
Show proof of purchase at the police station.

If required, Blame DTDC that they could have returned the item to the sender if it wasnt allowed.

In short: For now, gather all the information you can. From DTDC, (regarding weight, tracking, possible steal location) and from Vizag (IMEI no., Serial no., bill no., bill, payment-detail)

This one llooks to have some weight-age....ASk your local dtdc guy....how will they pay or wht...if they say u contact the other state stuff..or it wasnt allow and so all...u can direct to them just get ready u coming with media next..and when u say this not allowed..than why did u take it at first place..if they say they cant check...ask them do they ship product without checking..xray and all..since its not allowed to send stuff from one city to other without knowledge..since if some narcotics is found same way..its the courier ppl who r said to b responsible...and they do have their standard at all main logical ends...there are many cases when total new peep from other area comes to this area courier narcotic to parties in other state .....and if its caught in middle by cops...the ppl who took the stuff for delivery is being charged since they dont even know the noob

Your phone and money are as good as gone. Forget it, and next time play by the rules. Before you sign for a courier open the package IN FRONT of the guy and then sign. I have a lot of experience with this as I buy stuff online. I once ordered a camera from indiaplaza.in for a friend in Moodabidri, as he did not have a credit card. When he received the box he was a little doubtful due to it's weight, so he opened it in front of the courier guy and found it empty ! He refused to sign it. They too were speechless :) However it took me three months to get that order successfully cancelled and my money refunded, minus the courier charges, after threatening them with consumer action. It was for some Rs. 13000 and odd.

but its clear cut they have stolen the mobile
they said for one station to the other staion nearly 150ppl are working to transfer the items how can we pinpoint the person
they will check wether the item written over the artilce is inside or not

Thats why you dont use dtdc for transfering. Use blue dart and pay little extra. if dtdc says 300 blue dart says more but the item doesnt get lost half way.

Latest I heard DTDC+ can ship mobile phones with no problem whatsoever.

Guys this is the reason why dtdc guys make so faces while shipping electronic goods, as they always want a clear declaration of the stuff we are sending as i don't know how the dtdc guy had accept your stuff without any proper declaration. Fault are of both, as people complaining that dtdc are prone to open packets now you did mistake of not giving proper declaration which dtdc has taken the advantage. Now only the thing u can do is get the compensation of the stuff and whatever value you had declared.

the franchisee usually dont offer the insurance options as they are mostly not aware of it. the dtdc own office will always offer insurance option at about 3.5% extra.

my sender approached the office with his lawyer
they said if u go to court police it will take a long process for u
so i can give u 5k and finish it off
i sadi just come ot we can go legally against the managar
from their point if view the mistake is i didnt opened the courier infont of the guy
i opened it at home so their is nothing mistake in thier part
