PIE affects the score more than PIF. If u've high PIE's, ur score will automatically go down.

@ Eazy, was Appo referring that he burnt or scanned the disc at 16x ? And why do u need a registry hack for Nero to show the actual burn speeds ? Nero 7 has the option in the Preferences itself.

I use Nero 6016 and it does not have any setting that I know of whereby it shows the real time burn speeds... Is this option present in Nero 7 ? Can you with Nero 7 without the change in the Registry see lets say a 12x DVD burn show the REAL burn speed which normally starts around 5x and slowly build up till it reaches 12x at the end of the burn ?

Yes. I see my DVD-RW being burnt at 3.6~4x in Nero 7. Also a CD being burnt at 26~32x when I burn it at 32x. There is a check box for ' Show real burn speeds ' in a tab under preferences in Nero 7. I've checked it and it does show the fluctuating speeds.

sorry guys did not take screenies of scans, heres a brief report though =
benq @ 16x, quality score 95, pi errors avg - 48, pi failures avg 0.06, max 8, burn time 6:01
pioneer @ 16x, quality score 96, pi errors avg - 15, pi failures avg 0.04, max 6, burn time 6:22 (zclv sucks)

My bad.... PIF affects the score more than PIE. If u've high PIF's, ur score will automatically go down.
