Early Ryzen 7 5800X3D gaming benchmark showcase impressive results

If I remember correctly, the 5900x equals the 12900k in this one specific title.
So I would not read into this much at all.
This title loves Ryzen ! Check with any other title and 5800X3d will fall at its correct place.

 
Not a useful CPU for the time being. Checked the price in Bangalore and they are saying that it is for 44000. All one gets is 8 core CPU with 100 Mb cache. Better to buy a 5900x or a 12700k at that price point.
The vendor did tell me that they are expecting it to drop in a month or two.
 
I was really really surprised by the gaming benchmarks.
Would be a good gaming CPU for someone looking to upgrade from the Ryzen 3xxx,
This and the KS are just makeshit releases.
Buynig time till the 13th gen and AM5.

But really AMD, is pushing Intel to Add more cache to their upcoming CPUS.
Win Win for us consumers.

US release is on April,20,2022. So it will come in a month to here.

I have built a few systems with the 5800x, and general they're extremely hard to cool, even with 280 AIOs.

This one on the other hand, looks like its possible to be cooled with thicker 120mm AIOs or 5 pipe Air coolers. If we underclock the TDP to say 95W from its stock 112w, its very doable in SFF systems, unlike the previous one.

The one major factor that's not getting much media attention imho is the nearly 30% lesser TDP for pretty much identical performance. The slight reduction in clock speeds seems like a very minor compromise given how much power you can save.

But the price is nuts, no going about that. That too, this is coming at the very end of the AM4 life cycle. But I guess its a worthy option for someone like me, running a 2700x in one PC. If the price comes below 37k I might consider it.

It's like AMD is trying to show in AM4 platform itself what is about to come in AM5 platform.
Like certain chips only for Gamers while certain chips only for Professionals.

Which in turn will force Intel to follow suit in this regard.
So it will be win win situation for us end users.
 
what's the best price locally on the 5600x currently?

I've been enquiring about the new 5600 buts it's not in stock anywhere online although the 5500 4500 4100 5700x are easily available.

Is the 5600 available locally?
 
I am always amazed at people purchasing stop-gap products at a premium when the next generation is around the corner with sizeable changes. But then I suppose these products are aimed at people who just need to have something new or faster, even if it is superseded in a few months.
 
5800X doesn't make sense to anyone except for someone who just cares about having the best for gaming (but it's not the best).
If someone's on AM4 since like 2017-2018 running a 1000-2000 series CPU or even like 3000 series upto a R5-3600 then it makes sense to stretch the life by buying the 5900X only. That's the only CPU I see in the AM4 lineup which makes sense for the price and longevity of the platform until AM5 matures. I'm pretty sure they can skip most of the AM5 CPUs too with the 5900X.

AMD is just giving a hint to its competitors of what is to come in future.
Like I said they might categorize as gaming and non gaming chips.
 
My 2 cents - at that price point its better to choose 12700k or 12700KF/5900x. More cores and can do more than just gaming but yes, there are some who want the 360 hertz Monitors and highest frames possible. So this may fit the spot for that few some.
