Well.....this one 2 in 1 package

i,e it can be use 3.5 " & 2.5 " IDE HDD as well as 3.5" SATA. Hope it can take 2.5" SATA too.

I want to know is it worth to paying 495/- bucks for it ?

Bro, I have made it final for Transcend 500 GB. New look black HDD & fall protection is the main thing I am looking at. WD Elements look is bad compare to old my passport. Both of them have 3 years warranty.

Being external HD, its bound to fall some day, Transcend has fall protection inside disk & casing which WD lacks.

I searched ebay. Can you confirm which one of these 2 are you referring to?

eBay India: 500 GB External HDD Transcend,3Yrs Warranty,Drop Tested (item 150553124316 end time 27-Jan-2011 00:00:00 IST)

eBay India: 500GB Portable External HDD 2.5",Transcend,3Yr Warranty (item 150552734085 end time 27-Jan-2011 00:31:00 IST)

Both are 500gb drives. One is drop tested , other one matches US military standards.

These are the categories where ebay charges more fees.

from these categories ebay earn 6% fee+ extra paisapay 5% fee.

while on computer catagory which is not in the list fees is just 1%
