This little chat always has been the one which left me in splits everytime i recalled. Not sure if i have shared it already here..

I was sitting at a friend's place and we had another fellow for company. We all basically were school chums but this third guy, we were good acquaintance to each other.

Me: Dude, always remember.. when a product says life time warranty, it doesnt means it has warranty till eternity.
Acquaintance: What do you mean?
Me: It usually translates to 3 yrs.
Acquaintance: WHAT? How.. why.. since when?
Me: That is the way it always has been. They basically mean life cycle till the product is in vogue.. kinda..

Acquaintance: Not fair man. How can they write lifetime and be doing it the other way round..

Friend: Abbey.. havent you seen in movies... Umar Kaid/Life Term awarded to culprits is only 14 yrs and not entire lifetime.. Samjha ?

(Now i really dont know what to term the following as.. but it is a precious moment me and my friend were a witness and a party to..)

Acquaintance: Toh product should also come with 14 yrs warranty !!

And the next few minutes, two of the people in the room were rolling and clutching their bellies due to pain of intense laughter.. and the third one was kinda confused of the proceedings.

Thanks @avi and @paarkhi for letting me know that i can't upload a .gif type of image directly here.
I need to upload to image hosting sites first and then give the url using the "img" tags.

1. Go here : imgur: the simple image sharer
2. If you have image on computer, click on button which is at upper right. If you have image url, then click on web.
3. When you select computer, explorer dialog box will pop up & browse to image & select it.
4. Click on start upload.
5. You will redirected to a new page. Find "Direct Link (email & IM)" on right side bar, copy the link below it. It will be usually something like http://imgur.com/xyzxyz.gif. Just to make sure, copy this url in browser bar & see if the image opens directly.
6. Now in TE editor window, include the that url copied within image tag.

Code:
[img]your direct image url here[/img]

7. If all goes successfully, then rep me :P

Thanks buddy. I would have definitely repped you. I have idea about imgur. But i asked how to directly upload from here in TE reply/posting area directly.
Because i can see the accepted formats as
Allowed Filetypes: jpg, jpeg, png, gif
Then why am i not able to upload it here directly. Why should i go for a third party image hosting site?

Even before that, you need to stop quoting entire posts while replying. Esp the pics ..
While replying just below the post, there isnt any need to use quotes.

Thanks for the suggestion @Spacescreamer
Why i mostly do that is because if someone posts in the meanwhile, i may miss the continuity.

But will try to avoid from now on and try to mention their name instead of quoting. Thank you once again.:)

I think Animated Gifs will not work

Edit: I just use the part for which I want to reply as in this case ...

An acquaintance just bought a Wireless N router off Flipkart on my advice. Got a very harried call from him a few moments ago along the lines of "I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT IT ONLINE, I'VE BEEN CHEATED BY THE INTERNET SCUMBAGS!!"

Turns out the box says 150 Mbps and he believes that he should receive 150Mbps on his piddly MTNL lord knows what speed connection simply because he has a router that can transfer at 150Mbps.

I'm going to have to deal with this moron tomorrow. FML.

^^Very common. I know someone who had been abroad for an extended stay and when i asked him what the internet speed was, he says 54 Mbps. Turns out it was the wifi connection speed which shows up in the task bar. But he defended saying "But internet ekdum fast tha...."
