English TV series discussion

Just started watching The Inbetweeners based on a friends suggestion. About to complete the first season, and it is very different from what I've seen before!

Yeah its good, if you liked it try out skins. Its darker and a bit on the unrealistic side but believable and enjoyable.

Started watching MONK.

The pilot had some scenes that had me in splits. I was laughing like crazy.
Monk ranks high among my list of favorites.. Most episodes are good..! Watch the entire series from season 1 to 8.

^Oh, I thought that was a typo. Anyhow, he is not too old. I mean there are actors way older than him who are still acting, no reason why he will not be able to finish a book.

Someone else will pick up the stories like how Brandon Sanderson picked up Wheel of Time series after Robert Jordan's death. BTW I have downloaded all episodes of Game of thrones, and a small preview displayed some brilliant production quality. Anyway I am waiting till I finish reading the book :P

BTW Song of Fire and Ice is rated even higher then the LOTR series at http://www.goodreads.com/series/43790-a-song-of-ice-and-fire

^Even the TV series is in no way inferior to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The production values are very high and the TV show remains very faithful to the books. There are a total of 10 episodes in this season which would cover the first book of the saga. Only another 2 episodes are left, if you can wait for another week, you will be able to watch the whole season in one sitting, which would be super awesome. :ohyeah: But I am not sure how much you would enjoy the series after reading the book because there won't be any element of surprise left in the show then. This is the reason I am staying far away from the books.

Yes, Modern Family.
You can also include the Classic series like

1. Seinfeld

2. Frasier

Also if you like British Comedy, then there is 'The IT Crowd' which i found absolutely hilarious.

Actually I enjoy watching movies after reading the book but vice-versa sucks. And since the song of fire and ice is one of the best book series, I certainly don't want to miss that :)

entourage's last season :cry::cry:

Season 7 was not funny at all. The earlier ones are classic. And with just 10-12 episodes in the final season I doubt they'll have humorous bits, it'll be all drag and drama.

No takers for The Office here?

Really dont like British Comedy its plain rough , Modern Family looks like family thing something like I Dream of Jeanie ?

Yes this show is totally hilarious. I'm waiting for the next season, but sad there's only 6 episodes per season. :(

Modern Family is a show with a heart. Where it takes 5-6 episodes normally for me to warm up to a sitcom, it only took the pilot of Modern Family for me to get hooked to it. Just download the pilot and see if you like it.
