English TV series discussion

Now on season 4 of Burn Notice. Liking this series. As someone had mentioned before it is procedural sort of and that is true and many folks may get bored after couple of seasons. I just like to watch it for timepass and don't really feel like shutting down as of now.
 
Cranston just snagged this year's Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama and 'Breaking Bad' won Best Television Series - Drama. Rightfully deserved. Hope Tatiana Maslany wins the best actress award.

Tatiana maslany deserves all awards. Playing so many varied characters and being convincing in each of them is no small feat.
 
She lost it to Robin Wright (House of Cards).

Golden Globes are like Filmfare awards of the west. Most of their choices are based on popularity rather than performances.

Watched the finale of sherlock @ 4 in the morning.
Borrowing plot from ekta kapoor to make dead people alive again is so lame.
Expect next season premier to be worser in explaining the so called mystery

Perfectly well deserved.
It's no small feat to stand on par with a giant like Kevin Spacey.

Watching True Detective right now .. (took a break as my phone ran out of battery)

New show out yesterday starring Matthew McConaughey & Woody Harrelson as two career detectives investigating a gruesome cryptic murder of a young woman (E01) in a Louisiana small town. Dark mood, lot of long winding dialogue between the two main leads takes up most of the show .. the two stars also are the Exec Producers of the show so I keep my verdict reserved for a bit longer.

Basic Buddy-cop formula at work here, the show is trying to capture your attention with its visual styling and dialogue mainly (you may very well mistake it for an early episode of Hannibal) .. Main focus on McConaughey's character so far ..Its been pretty well received, lets see what the full Episode holds.
 
I wish this time the best actor award went to James Spader.. Or even Kevin Spacey. Enough with Bryan Cranston already.

Anyways, I was rooting for Brooklyn 9 9. Happy it got 2. :D. Awesome Amy Poehler also got one. :D

Just wish they give an Academy for Leo Dicaprio this time around. Enough already, the guy can act. Give one.
 
^^Actually, Bryan Cranston had been snubbed regularly by Golden Globes until now. This is his first Globes win. There is no one in that list who deserves it more than he. The acting is very uncanny; he owned the character. Not to take away from the other actors, but Cranston as Mr. White/Heisenberg was on a different plane altogether.
 
He deserves it. But other shows also should come forward. Enough is given to Breaking Bad and Bryan Cranston. James Spader owns pretty much every character he does. So..

Kevin Spacey can be ok with or without the award.
