Ethernet cabling in house

I wanted help regarding what would be the best solution to provide Ethernet connectivity in all rooms in house.
My house has router in the center area which is the dining room. I want to provide Ethernet connectivity in all rooms.
Would running Ethernet cable outside wall and placing switch in all rooms be the ideal solution ? Are there wall sockets with Ethernet plug ?

Ideally you would run a separate conduit for ethernet cables across rooms since power cables can interfere if they are close. Running external is fine if you are okay with it (i.e. family). You can conceal like external wiring.

There are separate wall plates available for this, you can plug in keystones for ethernet. Apart from these some brands like legrand do have separate models for them as well. This is for internal wiring though. Will look odd for external.

I would suggest run the lan cable outside the house for now and protect it with that self fitting two piece plastic channels (forgetting the exact name).. Would prove much cheaper.. So much so that even you can do it yourself if you are savy enough..

Whenever in future you are doing renovations at home may be then you can get separate conduits or pipes for deducted internet wire..

Actually working on renovation that’s why I was thinking. Also I rethought on the requirement and it seems I only want Ethernet in drawing room where I have my TV. Want to hardwire PS5 and TV and want to use Ps portal later. I am thinking following:-

1. Move the Fibre terminal box from dining to drawing. The broadband cable can come from top corner of drawing room gate.
2. Install ONT router on TV unit and Ethernet hardwire TV and PS5.
3. Get a 2 unit Mesh WiFi, place Mesh WiFi near ONT and connect via Ethernet
4. Place second Mesh unit in center of house that is dining room and Ethernet backhaul with first unit.

I own two houses, i have ran a cat 6 cable in all rooms from the central room and a 2.5 gigabit switch is taking in all connections, fiber is terminating on gpon and a router distributes wired internet to the main switch, a cat 7 is connected form this switch to the second house into another 2.5gb switch which again bifurcates cat 6 cables to other rooms, deco x20 is connected in both house in wired way to distribute wireless. I have also at times ran gigabit switches in room at each termination to install more devices. I have ran multiple micro/ atx devices as servers including storage nas in one of the rooms.
