Nvidia GTX 660 launch is near and rumors about the launch date and specifications are making rounds . According to reports , the GTX 660 will be identical to the GTX 670 and is expected to be launched on August 16th .
The card is expected to be based on same GK104 325-A2 chip used in GTX 670 with 1344 cores and same core clocks but with smaller 192 bit memory controller . The GDDR5 memory will be clocked at 6GHz .
On the other hand some sources say that the Ti version will have lesser 1152 cores and same 256bit interface with 2GB of GDDR5 , while the non- Ti version will have 192 bit controller with 1536MB of GDDR5 . Core clock is maintained at 980MHz and Boost at 1033MHz on both cards .
A leaked image which is reportedly of EVGA GTX 660 Ti Signature Edition has also been posted over at Expreview. The card looks similar to the GTX 670 .
The GTX 660 Ti is expected to retail around $299 .
