This is a SC+ edition which can be overclocked although I haven't played around. It has absolutely no issues, runs 46C idle and max temps are 82C (23 room)
I recently applied thermalpaste when I opened it up for cleaning, image attached.
Fans running at 90% -35°C

All games running at 1080p. Recording drops fps by 5% or more.

It's good you're comparing this with a 2060 but that card is out of the league compared to this one. Having the benefit of DLSS + the additional rasterization performance increases the longevity of that card on 1080p.
More appropriate comparision of the 980ti would be with 1660ti at best.

Thanks, I agree with you. I knew that the 980ti beats almost all the cards up until 1070 and even the 1070 when OC'ed but I didn't expect it to come so close to a 2060! Given that I have a 7700 and single channel
