I am using Exatt. The speed seems OK. But I do not have a DSL connection. So, very rarely do I get speeds above 128kbps(my scheme is 625/- p m for 128kbps unlimited d/l). But I usually get full 128kbps. Even downloads I get around 14kBps. With BT, I have not tried( will explain later). But with Ares and Limewire, I get regularly 15kBps.
But since this month, they have stopped using 24 Online Client(which I used to login to my account and then browse the net) and has installed something called "rasppoe". With this, now, I have to use a dial up to connect. and since then, I am not ableto get above 64 kbps. Earlier, I used to click on 24 Online icon on my desktop and then click on login(after inputting username and password obviously). Now, I have to use a dial up connection but which is making use of my ethernet card.
I have complained and it has been 4 days. They have still not set it right. And I started using BT only since the past 3 days. So, as you see, I have not had time to test BT with the full 128kbps connection......
And as regards to downtime ----- It is down whenever it raions heavily. You can easily balme the weather, but then does that mean that whenever it rains heavily, I cannot use my internet???
They have to make alternate arrangements. Like protecting the fibre optic cable and stuff like that.
This is the thing which makes me really unhappy.
And this has happened so many times that I am on first name basis with the troubleshooter in charge if my area.
We are given our connections not directly thro' Exatt but through an agency called Jayanagar Broadband Services.
Anyway, it is ok. But I suggest that you go for Hathway, Airtel or something else. But if Exatt is the only one giving BB connection, then go ahead.......
And in Bangalore, we get Hathway 256kbps for 950(approx) p m unlimited everything.
Exatt is 1000 p m without VAT.
